The NBA's projected salary cap and tax level of $94 million and $113 million, respectively, have increased since the previous estimates done by the league and its players' union.

The maximum player salaries are now expected to be $22 million for tier 1, $26.4 million for tier 2 and $30.8 million for tier 3.

Idk about this increase in the salary cap. It is going to skew salaries dramatically for many players that do not deserve it. I am almost leaning towards the NBA eliminating the salary cap completely. Just have a system like in baseball. The ability to outbid another team does not exist in the NBA. Like the Diamondbacks signed Greinke because they outbid everyone else. That is how it should be. If Durant has the identical offer from every team, there is no incentive for him to pick a team based on their offer. It is entirely based on how much he likes the city and the team versus a team saying we believe in you so much we are willing to blow everyone else's offer away. The way the NBA's salary rules are now has destroyed the parity of the league.

$94M for Barnes or $113M for Batum? Tough choice :noway:

That is why I don't see this team trading any picks unless we are getting a superstar :D

He says that if the C's keep the pick Chriss is their guy as Ainge was not impressed with Bender when he went to scout him overseas. I expect the Suns to draft either Bender or Chriss or perhaps McD pulls some kind of Oakafor trade. Can't wait for Bender to come in on Saturday so we can finally get some info from his workout.

I wouldn't believe any Celtics rumors if Ainge told me info directly to my face. That said if Bradley/3 is close than so is Warren/4.

Not really, Bradley is basically Tony Allen's succesor with an outside shot and he is a proven commodity. Also yeah these Ainge leaks are most likely smokescreens, if he keeps the pick he will likely draft a 4 so Chicago would rather have the option to choose between Bender/Chriss. (although they already have Mirotic/ Portis so maybe Dunn as a DRose replacement?)

Yeah, I'd bet on Chicago taking Dunn.

Wasn't Bledsoe to Cleveland rumored in a different deal involving Melo? :o

Yeah, but that one sucked as it had US getting Love (and Irving) and giving up Bledsoe/Len/Warren/#4/#13/Miami's 1st

I do not believe that Rich Paul rumor about Bledsoe for a second. No way. First off, it cites no one and just says rumor. Second, Bledsoe has been involved in virtually everything with the Suns this offseason. You constantly see him in pictures and hear about how he is working out in Phoenix. Why would a guy who wants to force himself off the team be so vocal about supporting the organization publicly when he does not he have to. Plus didn't he have that deleted social media post where he openly said we have a spot for Harrison Barnes? Third, the Suns hired Watson as the coach and he is a Klutch Sports client. So it appears the Suns have a good relationship with that agency. It would shock me if Paul requested Bledsoe get traded.

I seriously want no part of Kevin Love.

I'd rather do that trade and send Love to Coach Horny in New York and take Irving for ourselves.
