It changes nothing. Tyson is an adult, DJ is a spoiled brat.

DJ being a spoiled brat is to our benefit :D Plus I might go into stealth troll mode on the Dallas board. I really didn't buy some of their fans coming in here saying too bad we missed on LMA...

I'll return the favor and send them our condolences 8-)

Raptors board loves the signing for us. A lot of them say he's better than Terrence Ross.

Chill guys.. Weems is a depth/fill out the roster type signing. I'm sure he's not guaranteed playing time or anything just brought it to compete for a rotation spot. Wouldn't read too much into this signing, the suns need bodies and that what he is.

If P.J. gets injured or traded (let's say for some frontcourt help) and then T.J. Warren breaks his thumb again, we'd need some depth. When Brandon Knight got injured last year, we had to watch the vomit worthy progression of A.J. Price, Seth Curry, and Jerel McNeal while Archie floundered about obviously out of position. Weems is wing depth that at least PROBABLY won't make me want to rip my own face off when he comes into the game, which is neat.

Plus, smart teams are always looking for shooting on the cheap. If he's a good shooter, then he can space the floor for TJ & Archie since he can play alongside either. If he's bad, then he's a 2 year freeroll and it's whatever.

Overall, I'm not exactly excited, but I'm not rushing to condemn the move. It's low risk, moderate reward for some replacement level depth (plus if he's good, we can even trade him if we want for even more assets woo).

I don't think he would come to the NBA to be a bench warmer. I think he is the best wing on this Suns roster right now. Now, what his role will be is up to Hornacek, but i firmly expect him to have an important role in the upcoming season.

Letsgosuns, I understand what you are saying, but we have only ten players under contract right now. We needed at least one more wing player.

I think you are gonna like this signing A LOT. I say that seriously. He is a player that has all the tools and basketball IQ to be compared to Danny Green or Courtney Lee. He has progressed a lot like an unselfish player in a big time Euroleague team ( CSKA Moscu ), and he produces on both sides of the floor. He is better offensively than defensively in my opinion, but it is close.

The most important thing is that he is smart with the ball in his hands, not a chucker or (Please Use More Appropriate Word) like Gerarld or Shannon.

He is automatic on his midrange's game and he is a really good shooter on a catch and shoot...and, of course, he is a tremendous athlete and is great in transition and finishing at the rim.

I don't want to be too much excited about this player...but he is really good like a bench addition on a cheap contract.
McDonough is GOOD.

I don't like it. There are better veteran PGs out there without team...
Well, he will not play at all IF everyone is healthy.

Well I really hope Warren is the starter at small forward and this guy is the backup then. I could care less if Tucker gets any playing time or is still on the team next year. I want to see some new players.
