Well that might work money wise, but those guys are not the type of offer that nets you Irving, unless we got majorly screwed in the deal.

Oh, i agree, i think they would be getting him for a steal that way. I just would rather have Fox right now than Irving even though Irving hold more value. What i would like to see is pretty much this:

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ycchvaxd

Buddy is only included to mimic Fox's $4M.

Cav's get: Bledsoe/Chandler/Warren
Kings get: Irving
Suns get: Fox/WCS/Shumpert/Temple

This isn't a bad trade, depending any pick involvement

Gambo said a Cleveland source said we were very, very, very close to getting Irving for Bledsoe and Pick 4 just before the draft.

He also said a guy at the top who would know (likely McDonough) told him we are doing due diligence and having internal discussions about Irving at the moment.

Good on you, McD. If no one else is willing to offer more than crap, then if the crap hits the fan, you won't be offered more than crap if you try to undo the mistake.

I would prefer that we don't end up with Kyrie in any case. With certain exceptions, I would rather not be involved in the deal at all than be anything other than the third team. Those exceptions are - NONE of Warren, Booker, Jackson, Chriss or Bender are dealt, and the only pick that gets dealt is MIA '18. Other than those two conditions, I'm flexible.

... I realized that I forgot to put Tyler Ulis on that list. That's right. I wouldn't trade Tyler Ulis in a deal for Kyrie.

I guess this means I'm unreasonable. I suppose it also means that I simply would not deal for Kyrie. I vote no.

Poor Clevelannd! Timing for them Sucks! Just over a month ago they would have gotten either PG, Butler....and probably even a draft pick, atleast considering PG's situation. At the very least, Bledsoe and Josh Jackson. Now it's Bledsoe and Miami's pick (mid to high teens). They might pull TJ in exchange of the Miami pick. Got a funny feeling it could be Chriss.

Anyways, Cleveland better not take to long, I'm not saying new stories confirming the fued between bron and Kyrie will hurt kyries market value, but it definitely won't help it.

Then cavs have to choose between us and minny right? Who else can compete with these

Timberwolves Wiggins etc.

No way cavs can receive Bledsoe and Wiggins in a 3 way

Denver.

Harris/Murray/Choice of Faried or Chandler/1st round pick.

For what it's worth CBS pod stated there was no way both Murray and Harris would be dealt in a deal. He said essentially Murray was untouchable. I doubt that to be the case but I doubt they give up much more than Murray in a deal for Irving if they went that way. They value Harris a great deal as well.

It would be so hard to give up Josh Jackson after all the drama that was made to get him.

Josh and his agent, B.J. Armstrong, did not want to go to the Celtics because the competition for minutes at his position.

The Cavs have a lot of veteran players at SG/SF/PF, identical or even worse situation than on the Celtics for Josh.
JR, Korver, LeBron, Jefferson, Shumpert, Osman, Love....

We promised Josh to pick him at #4...I think we can not trade him right now.

Cmon man, are your really going to try to factor in a 3+ point differential and act like it wouldnt be different if he wasnt here playing with the scrubby Suns? I mean he was playing next to Lebron james for christs sake!

Switch him and Bledsoe and Eric will be lucky to put up 20 PPG.

The funny thing is that DEFENSE is a major point people keep bringing up, but when you look at the advance stats, they show Bledsoe and Irving both rated the same with 112, and Irving BLOWING Bledsoe out of the water on offense with 116 vs 111.

PER36 stats of the two are very identical, with Bledsoe averaging about 2 more rebounds, but Irving dominating all the shooting percentages.

And once again people, that is while being stuck behind Lebron, where Bledsoe was our #1 option.

And the injury concerns are far far far different.

I actually think Bledsoe gets better next to LeBron. His efficiency and percentages will skyrocket playing along side James and Love. But the injuries are very different and that's what probably makes this deal unlikely unless James jumps back into the GM seat and starts directing deals again.

From whindfat - he said LeBron was essentially disengaged this off season. Something about asking them to put together the best team possible and that he will do his best to win another chip with them. It's a bummer. Because if James has two years left on his deal I think he is running the show and trading for his boys.

If there is anyway the Suns could get Fox out of this, I am down.

Fox+Booker+Jackson+Chriss/Bender

That is your young core right there.

Just speculation...

It doesn't matter really who the player is at this point. If we traded half our team for Irving, LBJ, KD, whatever its the same.

We will shoot our selves in the foot.

So fing stupid I cant wait for this to be done.

side note: All the people including Warren in trades haven't came up with one reason to trade him.

Still waiting...

you have to give talent to get talent and CLE wants a young prospect

seems pretty obvious to me

As long as I'm lurking because of the Kyrie stuff, I appreciate the laugh.

Side question: how do you guys like the fit of Irving/Booker next to one another? I'm kind of wrestling with something similar if Denver brought in Irving and kept Murray. I'm not especially in love with that type of 2 next to Kyrie, but interested in what you guys think.

We tend to like Irving next to Knight more than booker.

They'll score 50 ppg and give up 60 but hey it'll be more enjoyable to watch than the dreck we've had to endure over the past few seasons so I'm all for it.
