really? .... Rich Paul is a mouthpiece. Lebron blows, he toots.

All of Bledsoe's reactions/efforts are what players are supposed to do. He has shown the desire to lead this team. That is good, but means nothing in the big pic. He is not squawking and Paul is not threatening, more so setting up possibilities. its good to see paul has a relationship with Sarver. Crazy how demonized he (RS) is from the outside... but a good businessman burns no bridges. The interconnecting dealings on the inside level are hard to imagine.

Of course I have nothing but this source #bighunch.byme, but it seems logical if the Cavs lose they will restructure that line up and give it one more try. I think regardless, Love goes. And if Love is for sale, it is right up McMullys wheel house/game plan to land a real star. Now, whether or not Love qualifies is debatable. But no doubt, the ear is to the ground. And the rumored Boston involvement just reeks of backrooming. Easy to connect dots, or at least create them.

If we were walk out of this with #3 AND #4 and a trimmed down minimum payroll... perhaps Sarver could overlook the chump change he get from a first round playoff appearance as NOT spending a fortune on salaries teeters the financial totter. Rebuilding relieves the pressure of win now. I see it as a win win to stock up with young talent, even tho our fan base is jones-ing for some post season excitement.

The count down speculation continues.... Let us proceed 8-)

Its just Rich Paul's way of telling the Suns not to draft a pg.

I don't follow that logic. If there is any truth to this, I think it is using the inside Cav info via pseudo-GM LeBron that Love will be traded and it would be a welcomed/Oked move if Bled was involved. Do not underestimate the King's attempt to line up a new court.

Ha... that made me think of this guy....

One crazy thing to remember is (not counting our soon to be rookies), as we sit right now, we are currently $24M UNDER the salary cap floor.

Wow really? :o I guess trading Tyson isn't that big a deal after all then. Although this doesn't persuade me and I hope not anyone else either to pay Harrison Barnes the max.

Not at all. Dumping his contract would put us even further in the hole.

But you see, this is the exact reason why there are some players out there that will be getting crazy big contracts that they dont deserve, thus making every other players contract increase. To me, Biyombo doesnt deserve a max contract, but he will get on do to the sudden influx of money in the league. Then all of a sudden it becomes, "How do you not give this guy MORE money when a player like Biyombo is making this amount of money".

The sudden increase also makes it possible for almost every team to all of a sudden have the ability to try to lure in an all-star with cash. This is the season for teams like the Knicks and others who already have a big name player on the squad to lure in a 2nd or a 3rd. This is the year for teams to load up on as many stars as they can.

Oh I agree. It honestly makes me wonder what Alex will get if Biyombo gets the max. This of course depends on how much he improves this year. Oh and are we able to extend him this offseason?

Wow the salary floor is $85MM? Even if we maxed out Harrison Barnes ($21MM, please don't do this Suns), we'd still be below the floor. There could be some crazy one-year contracts to get to the salary cap floor this year.

If we go with Bender at 4, I actually do want a vet 4 to guide him. Preferably one that has post skills. Now I would preferably want one that would produce more that Brand or Lee at this stage in their careers but the same kind of idea.

I know it's crazy. This also emphasizes the fact that trading Tyson shouldn't be a priority as much as we thought. Now of course if there is a good deal to be had for him then by all means that is fine but I don't want to dump him anymore because at one point I thought we would have to attach an asset just to rid ourselves of his contract.

Hopefully we can. It would be great to try and offer something like 4/40 or even 5 years if we could.

I would be all over that deal. However, I feel like his agent would tell him to hold out for next year and see what he could fetch in the open market. For some reason I feel he would get more like 4/60. If he improves he just might get that and I think that's what his agent will be banking on.

Would you guys trade #4 for DAngelo Russell?
Chad Ford reported the Lakers are shopping DAngelo for another top 5 pick

I know I would.

Build around Booker/Russell

I wouldnt have a problem eating Rose's contract for the final year so that we dont overpay players JUST to reach the floor.

I'm not for giving up assets to eat his contract, and he just further muddles the guard rotation.

I apologize for asking this since I have a horrible memory and recollection of the frenzy period of 2014/15. But did we seriously trade IT for the 28th pick?

Its an interesting premise. I know i would enjoy having a young 6'5" PG next to a young 6'7" SG.

But for me to sign off on this, other things would have to happen 1st. First we would have to ship Bledsoe for a top 10 pick. Whether That be in the 3 way discussed yesterday (With us receiving #3 in return) or to a team like Sacramento (Pick #8 + an asset). I want to make sure that no matter what we still have a top 10 pick in the draft. Once that is taken care of, i would be fine trading #4 for last years #2.

I wouldn't do #4 for russel...he didn't show that much promise last year. Still think he'll be a good player though and wouldn't mind him being our PG of the future if Bledsoe gets traded. Maybe #13+knight for russel and filler? then draft Bender
