Wendell Carter Jr has looked pretty solid for the Magic. 15/9/2/1/1 on 60 TS% so far in April. Vucevic really took off after Clifford came to the Magic, so it will be interesting to see WCJ's development.

First pistons blow a 5 point lead late and now Blazers versus clippers.

I cannot believe Lebron James posted about the cop who saved a young lady from being stabbed to death. Calling him out saying You're Next!

NBA has to take action

100% agreement isn’t this the inciting violence that they get so mad at the trumpers for. Was it tragic the girl died yes but maybe not go wielding a knife around at other people and it will increase your odds to not have to interact with the police.

What a shame.

I can not stand a guy like that. He has shown multiple times that he does not care at all.

Just give the money back and get out from the NBA now.

This is why contracts should not be guaranteed. Or give a signing bonus to be spread over it or give team an opt out at some point.

If not, players should be fined significantly for doing stuff like this.

Ty Jerome quietly putting together solid numbers off the bench in OKC. When you factor in salary, Rubio's age and Oubre's inconsistency/ injuries, one could make the case that Jerome has become the most valuable player OKC recieved from us. Is this real life?

Happy for the guy, always looked like he knew how to play ball as well as any vet in the league, just didnt quite have the athleticism to make it happen.

But I thought if he could get his shot to fall it would open things up for him a bit (e.g. Steve Nash) and he could become serviceable... that said, my confidence in that wavered during his tenure as a sun

Man, the Warriors (as a team we could potentially face in the playoff) are team that at times look like they could beat anyone with a hot Curry and at other times seem to suffer the biggest blowouts of any team in the league. Very odd

The fact is every fanbase complains about the same thing. I bet Lebron/Laker fans complain when Lebron is disrespected with only 7 trips to the line instead of 12. So every fan base complains but they can't all be right at the same time. Because if they are then it's a reffing issue and if it's a reffing issue then every team is officiated equally poorly.

I agree with this, my issues with reffing at the moment is the level of inconsistency as well as the apparent lack of understanding of the game in the way they make calls.

Not sure if this is an issue with the refs or more likely and issue with the league and the strange ways they want their league officiated.

I agree with the inconsistency around the understanding of what fouls are. Not saying MJ didn't get the super star calls in his days and as did other stars but the game was also rougher so the superstar call then would be a common foul now. As we get to the point of protecting players a little too much it just comes down to which players/teams are more successful in gaming the officiating. It's not so much about drawing real fouls anymore but more what is the smallest action I can make to get the foul call.

Back in the late 80s and 90s, they allowed so much more contact. It allowed the game to flow better and didn't reward any "actors" or people jumping into others. I honestly cannot imagine Jordan, Magic, Bird, Isiah, Stockton, Drexler, Payton, KJ, etc, doing this.

It's SO cheap.

Now fouls going to the basket, they should seriously figure out a way to be consistent. For example the NFL instituted a rule this year where an official in a booth with videos was able to call fouls/penalties. Now this would have to be automatic with some loud whistle that was hit immediately but it could work. And, on top of that, any reviews of plays, out of bounds, challenges should come from a booth to remove bias from those who called it.

I'd love that. But it will never happen as the league would not be able (at least not so much) to shove down their new "stars" on our throats, and media wouldn't be able to (over)hype their darlings who have done exacley nothing so far in the league in ther career.
Exibit A, LaMelo Ball. After exibit B, Zion. After exibit C, Trae. Yeah, they can be real good, but nowhere near as impactful as they are made out to be.

Yeah came here to talk about Jerome and how well he's played this season.

Looks pretty solid.

Wow, Zion has had his shot blocked by far the most of any player 120 times...next most is 79. He is on pace to have his shot blocked the most times of anyone in the last 20 (maybe 25) years.

Kind of weird.
