Fry opting out?

Post#121 » by Jdiddy701 » Thu Apr 17, 2014 3:56 am

Duh cuz he stands his ass outside the 3point line all game even if he's 0-9999

I'm pretty sure Kevin Love shoots a lot of 3's too. Why is he so good at rebounding then?

Frye's job is to space the floor, which usually comes from a high screen, and then rolls to the three point line. Do I really have to explain this to you, or are you purposely being dumb? As for Love, he is a completely different player, with different skill set. He plays inside often, but I guess you already knew that, but chose to forget it, to think you are making some point.

Fry opting out?

Post#123 » by Jdiddy701 » Thu Apr 17, 2014 4:12 am

All I'm saying I rather have a PF that plays in the paint than one that sits outside the 3 point line all game. Channing Frye won't win us games in the future by shooting and bricking 3 point shots all day.

Rebounding, high % shots, and defense will win us games. I am not convinced that this team needs a stretch 4 to succeed. What has Frye done in the playoffs except been non existent anyways? I don't want that going forward on a team planning to win in the future.

And you do know by putting another player in the paint, you have just added two bodies that both Goran and Bledsoe have in their way. The data has already been provided for you. Suns have their best success on offense with a stretch big on the court.

Oh well, this will go nowhere. You want to change our offense, and hinder our two point guard attack, and I want to maximize those point guards ability to take offenses apart.

I agree it'll be tougher for Dragic and Bledsoe, but imagine the foul trouble the opposing teams power forwards will have. Bledsoe and Dragic would be at the line a lot.

You have watched this season, right? Both Goran and Bled get fouled all the time, and don't go to the line, I don't think having a PF in the paint will change that.

Wait, I shouldn't think that's a good thing because Dragic and Bledsoe don't make freethrows. Just ignore everyrning I said.

This is why so many of us want a guy like Love. Brings the 3PT shooting/spacing but is a rebound fiend.

True, but something will have to give. Love shoots 18.5 shots a game, which will take the ball out of the hands of either of our two headed snake, and at two to three times the cost. And who are we kidding, we aren't getting Love.

Marc stein reporting 99% chance fry opts out.

It always just made sense for him to try and get one more long term deal. I kind of doubt he comes back; have a feeling mcd will go younger.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Anything else would have been a surprise, except to the ignorant folks who think he sucks and is not going to get a decent MLE contract by someone.

It is not a surprise or anything to be alarmed about. He said at the end of last year he wanted a long term deal and the Suns have indicated they would also like a long term deal with him at a more cap-friendly price. This is the first step in securing that. I suspect he already has had discussions with the Suns and each side knows where the other stands and they might well have a deal in place that will bring Frye to the end of is career.

I think something around $15M/3 years would be good for both sides.
I hope he stays.

Frye's gonna be one of those dudes people won't appreciate until he's gone.

Hope he stays.

At even money I'd rather have Josh McRoberts, the best part about this is it allows the Suns additional flexibility to swing for the fences this off-season.

Paul Coro
Free agency could mean that he is negotiating with the #Suns for something with more years and a lower initial cap hit.
