I think the the Suns have shown the utmost professionalism to this point and no one can deny that. Gave him a more than fair offer.... have stayed quiet otherwise. No way in hell after acting like they have can someone hold it against them for VERY publicly moving on if Bledso takes his Q.O. It would just go to show prima donnas how a real organization moves on to the next step without hesitation. No mud slinging.... no talking about what could have been... just.... ok Eric.... here is our plan going ahead.... we will see what fits this team best going ahead under the situation youhave put us in. And what would best fit (if he also refuses trade) is to play people and develope chemistry between our mainstays. If that alienates people..... so be it... it is still being honest and straight up..... witch should be respected.

The rate Zoran is playing I would play him over Archie. Sign him! Dragic would take less if that happens. And he would extend ASAP.

Thomas... and Ennis and 5th string sg behind Green ...Zoran...Archie and the emergency 2guard PJ Tucker!!! Your move Dwarf Lebron!!!! HOW DOES F#@K YOU TASTE!?!?!? Is it salty?!?!? WE HAVE MORE IN THE BACK IF YOU ARE STILL HUNGRY!!!!

We can't. Extensions are capped at a certain percent & Dragic is going to make nearly double what he is now next year. He has to opt out next summer then resign.

I think this is an exaggeration of the "The Suns are using free agency against me" comment.

In all my years as a suns fan the last time I recall something like this involved mcdyess the Pepsi center and dan issel. For those of you who recall mcdyess was replaced with the googinator. Once bledsoe signs the qo he can veto any trade so the time has arrived for"neon" dion big daddy waiters. Bledsoe can simply tell the suns front office you know who would look even better in a suns uniform than me. He has a great smile just like me, well not quite as nice as me but almost. Go on take a guess, that's right Dion waiters, that's who. Now I suggest you do it as a matter of fact do it now. Prepare yourselves for this new catchphrase waiters serves up another wham bam slam.

Yes, it is an exaggeration of that comment I was referring to. Along with LeBron's comment. Funny how he posted that the day of a workout together...I'm sure the topic of the Suns not paying him his Max request came up, and surely it was brought out something like this:

"You know what LeBron, the Suns have been very professional and accommodating, I just haven't gotten around to sign their more-than-fair offer of $12M per for 4 years, for my less than 50% of the season I started for them."

Yeah I can see Bledsoe taking the QO and then Phoenix shipping him to Cleveland. And then when Cleveland comes to Phoenix next season.. that game will be very ugly.

Bledsoe, Kryie and Lebron will kill us. Bledsoe will talk trash to the crowd. I can see it now..
I always said Bledsoe would be playing with Lebron next season but didn't expect it to be in Cleveland.

Everyone needs to get a grip. Blowing this way out of proportion.

Personally, I'm still hopeful we sign him.

Nothing to be hopeful about. Even if Bledsoe resigns in Phoenix, he will not want to be here and his game will go down. I would LOVE to be wrong. The smartest thing to do is trade him, which I understand is the hardest thing to do. October 1st needs to come soon.

I don't think anyone's "lost their grip" or "blowing this way out of proportion" at all.

The facts are pretty clear. He won't come to the table to negotiate. His contract "demand" is 5 yrs/$84M after starting less than 1/2 the year and had part of his meniscus removed. We've offered him 4 yrs/$48M. The owner has requested that he come to negotiate--he hasn't. He's "complained" about the Suns using RFA against him, yet he's received little to no interest from any other teams. He hasn't said one positive thing about wanting to play in PHX. And now his big brother is basically calling us out as we have somehow been unfair to him.

Nothing stated above is "blowing this way out of proportion". Many fans here (and a majority of non-Suns fan agree) are just of the opinion that he hasn't proven to be worth more than a 4yr/$48M contract. If he ever decides to negotiate and we sign him for 4 yrs/$52M, I think most fans will be ok with that, but it sure doesn't look like that is going to happen, and the $3.7M QO looks to be the most likely scenario at this point. But hey, I'm as hopeful as the next guy that this is resolved for the best interest of the team, but it doesn't appear that Bledsoe has the Suns' interest at heart...at all...and only has his monetary/image interest at heart.

And if he does sign for the QO, I'm one that believes we should play him as long as he's helping this team win, but if he starts contributing more to our losing, and ends up playing selfishly, than he should be sat for IT.

Where have you been? This have been out of proportion for nearly 4 months now. I mean we have 5 offseason discussion threads about Bledsoe, spanning 4 months.

Even if he does resign, his long term future is clearly not phx. You may get what you want and he will resign...for the QO. And than it becomes all about him trying to fluff up his stats for personal gain. There will be nothing he does for the better of the "team." Actions speak louder than words.

I just want to avoid the whole scenario and just trade him at this point. This has gone on waaaaaaaaaay to long.

And I agree with the above statement. The suns offered him exactly what his talents should get paid. It's easily argued that Lowry(had better stats too) is a better pg and the suns offered a similar deal. If anyone is blowing this out of proportion it is Bledsoe himself.

It's very possible Bledsoe takes the QO knowing that some team (maybe the Lakers) will offer him a max contract next year. When Harden was traded to the Rockets, Wojnarowski was reporting that the Suns and Mavs would offer Harden a max contract if he hit FO next off-season, so the Rockets decided to re-sign him before he played a game for them.

@AndyJ0seph: Eric Bledsoe is just casually chilling on the sidelines with LeBron at Ohio State-Virginia Tech. #Klutch, right @paulcoro?

You guys are taking this waaaaaaaaaaay to personal. Its a contract negotiation, Bledsoe has done what all clients should do in his spot... keep his mouth shut and let his agent handle it. Unfortunately his agent is a dope, but Bledsoe has been professional thus far. He has not ripped the team, he has not gotten in trouble, he has stayed in shape. Even his "free agency against me" quote his detractors love is taken out of context.

If he were to sign a QO and the the Suns sunk him on the depth chart to spite him then the Suns are screwing themselves. It would be a total waste of what would be a super cheap asset, and a pathetic, vindictive hatchet job that would absolutely destroy our reputation with players around the league.
