Um is not an answer. If this is an intimidation situation, its hard to hide the elephant in the court room. These are two big guys, with tattoos, behaving aggressively. I know nothing about the alleged victim, but if there is a distinct physical disadvantage, coupled with a solid beat down, instigated by our boys...it does not present itself well. Toss in intimidating a witness? In todays Bully-sensitive world, you just can't ignore these things. And other than implied organizational behavior, their profession only intensifies public interest, but has no bearing. well, yes it does if you take into account the legal mind of Babby. And yes, tattoos still carry a stigma, especially in the criminal arena.

I think the FO will swing (has swung) full into damage control. I would bet they have been privy of this info a couple of days ago when it was circulating subversively. Good chance this will all be settled out of court, with minimal details released, with a non disclosure agreement. It is important the FO to show support.Protect your assets. But the truth must be shared internally. Punishment will be compensatory damages plus punitive to the victim. The Bros will be suspended w/o pay, don't know if the league can fine them too. Surely anger management classes will surface. Keep in mind, that is a scenario if the MoBros are deemed the culprits, and that is a good outcome if so. If it goes to trial ??? it could get fugly.

But... Babby is the ace in the hole. How many front offices have a dude that defended a GD presidential assassin ????
Lon is on this. Its hopefully less serious than imagined... I see the OrangeMan has chimed in with a story. Chasing someone down ??? Sheesh.

While they did not say much besides and investigation was taking place that could have involved the Morris brothers, I wanted to share what I know from my sources. This past Saturday there was a basketball function at a gym in Phoenix and the Morris brothers were in attendance, since they knew one of the coaches. It is alleged that at one point the twins chased a guy outside by the soccer field and Marcus got into a physical altercation with a male. Someone close to the situation states that Markieff was not involved in the altercation, but just kept the few people that came around back and that Marcus was the one involved in the physical altercation. It is said that the male ended up going to the hospital following the altercation. It is also said that police are investigating the situation. I have been told that a personal matter is what led to this alleged altercation.

While I appreciate you posting this, it's kind of silly cause there is no new information at all there. He's just repeating what we already know.

@Morris': If the FO was really aware of all this as I would assume, how can you justify playing Marcus after that? I know innocent until proven guilty, but it seems like there is no doubt about it. Do they think that he is invaluable and sooo much better than Warren or that his minutes can't be distributed amongst other rotation players?
If the outcome is Marcus being waved, traded, suspended count me as part of the posters that would very much welcome this. I would have liked that pre-incident already anyways...

I'm really hoping for it as well. Opens up time for Warren, Goodwin or Bullock.

I really think that the FO is looking for a trade, and they don't want to damage their value. After all of that incidents (Marcus confrontation with Hornacek, Markieff ignoring the press, their continuous technicals and technicals and this last fight or whatever can be called...) I think they are as good as gone before the end of the trade deadline.

His trade value wasn't very high, and it certainly isn't now. Would you give away a pick or take on a bad contract to dump him? It might take something like that. We probably are not getting back a useful asset, that's for sure.

If there is a police report that's all it would be. The police weren't there live. It'll be a mismash of what they BELIEVED happened based on the war of words, usually slanted to make whoever is suspected seem as guilty as possible.

Aiding and abetting? I know if someone like robs a bank or kills someone and you are chilling in the car waiting for them (but didnt do anything) you can still be charged as well for the same crime. Dont know if it applies to assaults or anything that would be involved in this case, but it could be a possibility.

If Kieff stopped other people from helping the fellow who was getting beat up by Marcus, yes he can get in trouble. If he was simply there and didn't do anything about it then he should be fine even though it may be tough to prove.

Can we move all the Morris talk to it's own thread going forward? TBH, I could give 2 **** about that story. It's hardly public and won't matter until all the facts come out and they are punished. Until then, I don't wanna read about it in the trade thread.

Marcus contract is pretty cheap right?

Marcus Morris signed a 4 year / $20 million-year-old contract with the Phoenix Suns

How do we know which one did the beating and which one held back the onlookers? They are identical twins and they weren't wearing their jerseys at the time.

I'm kinda joking, but I'm kinda serious.

Is Marcus taking the fall for Kieff?

That would be a smaller financial hit if only Mook got his contract voided. hmm

According to KPHO, the brothers could be part of the investigation.

Phoenix Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby was asked about the report Thursday on Bickley and Marotta on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.

"I'd just rather not comment on it and we'll see how it unfolds," Babby said. "And I'm going to leave it at that."

Yeah if there is no witness that will come forward it will just be one man's word against a pair of twins. There is probably a fair chance this goes away.

If we trade Kieff, this season is probably toast.
