If he wants to go play with his boyfriend LeBron, let him. Getting sick of hearing about this guy and his LeBron fetish already.

This is really the only way to go for the Suns mgmt. Bledsoe will only leave this team if the mgmt WANTS him to leave. It is just too early in the rebuilding process to give up cap flexibility on a player like Bledsoe. He might be really good, but it is not a certainty.

We have options, for a team that has a star player unrestricted, Bledsoe and a pick or something might be tempting compensation.

If Bledsoe is gonna become as cancerous to the Suns as Gordon has been with the Pelicans since they match the contract, then I would rather is trade him or let him walk.

This group of young players don't need any locker room distractions.

This is getting embarrassing. Cancerous? Has a LeBron fetish? These things are being pulled straight from POSTERS asses and being applied to a guy who has said and done nothing do draw ire.

Again, he will be a RESTRICTED free agent, it does not matter how much some posters have decided he loves LeBron (when outside of one photo Bledsoe has never mentioned him). The SUNS control his destiny next summer. And unless LeBron opted to LEAVE Miami then they wont have cap space to sign him anyway! So... if some of you are so certain that he and LeBron are, like the little Mermaid and Prince Eric, destined to be together... basically the only way that can happen is if hell froze over and LeBron signed here.

Eh, not too worried. Always thought of him more as an asset to flip in a larger trade than anything else.

The fact that he thinks he's worth 10 million a year already doesn't calm my gut feelings about this guy.

I'm not up in arms about anything here. Gotta let it play out. But he has to prove himself. I'm just already naturally wary of anyone who's been influenced heavily by primadonnas like Paul and LeBron.

Yea people need to relax. I clearly meant if Bledsoe doesn't wanna be here but the Suns force him to stay because of his restricted free agent status.

And the LeBron thing was speculation too.

It's really frustrating, but I feel like that's the only explanation.

Bledsoe is young, and will likely come out as one of the better all-around players in the NBA at years end. Hoping to sign him at a reasonable deal later doesn't make sense, especially considering Robert Sarver still considers the Joe Johnson debacle to be a mistake on his part.

Put yourself in Bledoe's shoes, we would all do the same and wait.

I'd actually be putting myself in the Suns' management's shoes if I wanted to wait. Bledsoe would have no doubt signed for the money he wanted if he got it.

Just got back into the office. On the radio, can't remember if it was Bickley or Gambo (i think Bickley) who was saying that Bledsoe was asking for a MAX DEAL.

Then its a no-brainer. You just don't give a max deal to someone who has not proven it with starter minutes. If he proves it on the court, then pay it.

But he has to prove that he is a #1 or #2 player on a championship team. A team with 7 first round picks in the next few years cannot just give up max money to an unproven player.

Good for him. Try to get what you feel you're worth and if he plays really well then he'll get it. If he doesn't, he wont... The sensitivity in here is frightening.

It makes sense for both sides to wait.

As someone said above, I'd rather have Beldsoe prove he is worth big money and then sign him for big money rather then risk medium to high money on an unknown. That's how you get in trouble.

McD knows what he is doing. Our front office is no longer incompetent.

All the rest of the speculation on Beldose is just that, speculation. I've never seen him smile in photos, so saying that he is unhappy here because he isn't smiling/laughing in photos is a stretch.

He is with his "idol" and still no smile.

Also notice that he is already repping the city of Phoenix with D-backs gear.

This article best sums it up:

The bad thing is, if he really thinks he is a max player, I hope this doesn't turn into a Marion situation. Would you give him the max this summer? I don't think another team will, but I wouldn't even come close to giving him the max based on what we know now. If we give him a huge deal and Dragic outplays him over the next couple of years, what will Dragic want? Hopefully no team offers him a double digit per year deal and we can get him for like 36 over 4 years.

E-Buck wrote:Eric Bledsoe is a star, and he knows it. That is why there was no deal done. You all watch, Bledsoe will become a top 5 PG this season, and teams will drool over him, but he's not gonna leave. He won't even "feel" offers from other teams, it'll be a straight up deal with the Suns. He's here to stay.

I like your optimism Buck, but we'll have to wait and see.

Luckily Sarver has input on this but isn't the ultimate evaluator or decider. McD will make the decision whether to match any RFA offers Bledsoe receives.

I agree with you.

In no way shape or form do I see him getting a max offer. Even if he has a 22/5/5 season. Being a career backup with backup numbers, then having 1 great year in the last year of your rookie contract doesn't get you max money.

If he had 2 or 3 great years as a starter on his rookie contract then yes he could get max, but that hasn't happened.
