because he passes on wide open shots all the time

Yea it's pissing me off, he's passed on at least two open 3s so far in this game.

Yeah, I love that he has ball movement, but he needs to pull the trigger more, and then when he is ready, he tries to grab the ball too quickly and turns it over.

Glad Booker just got the dunk though...that will give him more confidence to shoot. I think he has confidence but hesitates sometimes, and hopefully he just starts launching it when open.

Knight flails a one handed off balance contested 2 in the paint, all while Booker is open on the perimeter.

What Chandler is waiting to double on Love when he's in the paint?

Yeah, he's passing GREAT chances for GOOD/OK ones... that's not the right way to do it.
especially when the ball ends up with Tucker.

Not a bad half at all. I mean I guess the best case scenario for those wanting to tank and a high pick is to lose close games to good teams and still get a high pick. Probably not best thing for Hornacek, though if we continue to hang with best teams in the league and barely lose, that's not a bad coaching thing imo. But of course the last couple of losses you can put on him.

That's the type of stuff that those who get impressed by Knight's stats don't see because it doesn't show up in the stat book as anything else other than just one miss.

Low pressure has something to do with it, I think. We're not expected to win many games anymore.

Here's Bookers (easily fixable) problem. He has a conscience which interferes with his ability to shoot 3's and not give a hoot if it pisses anyone off. He should have taken at least 3-4 extra 3 point shots, but instead passed to a team mate who usually clanked or turned over the ball.

Shoot the ball young man....you have skills.

Yeah, I would have not thought with Knight running it that would necessarily be the case, but without two point guards wanting to get their's, it works out better. I just wish with both him and Bledsoe in there they would move the ball more like Hornacek wants. In one respect, it's good to have two point guards because when injuries hit Bledsoe or Knight it is nice to have the other guy, but when McD signs both telling them they will start, that might negatively impact ball movement at times if they each want to primarily handle the ball and make the team on the court decisions. Hopefully they just grow out of that, become unselfish, and always pass to the open guy.

Yes, with high expectations we lose this game by ten points and it's a "horrible performance".....but with low expectations we lose this game by ten points and it's a "good effort and we are improving".

Heck, even if we were firmly in the 8th seed, with Markieff playing at his best, and a healthy Bledsoe, this would be a decent half against the best team in the east. Under current circumstances, it's a pretty damn great half.
