Wow, that's a nice deal for Tucker. The funny thing about the Rockets is, it seems like having one primary ball handler and a bunch of great three point shooters is what he would want, yet now they have two ball handlers, want to get rid of Anderson, who is a perfect fit there, and sign Tucker. He obviously helps their defense and intensity but they already lost two good 3 pt shooters in Beverley and Dekker, so it will be interesting if D'Antoni's coaching works. He needs the right personnel....if they fail he will be blamed again.
Harden is going to have to be ok with being a spot up shooter when Paul is out there..or vice versa...but at least Harden has sort of had to play that role in the past...I can't see Paul accepting it very well.
Morey chose D'Antoni and loves the guy. I expect that Mike and he have talked about the fit. If you cannot defend the perimeter you cannot win in the current NBA. It appears it was between Tucker and Shumpert. I would prefer Tucker. I think they should just keep Anderson but Morey is constantly putting together stuff no one can predict. The cancelled contract on Nene is a huge loss for them. For their sake they need to somehow work something out with Nene. His going down really hurt them against the Spurs. I think Morey's mistake was trading for Chris Paul, we will see.
I am so happy we were able to get Jackson he should be perfect in the current NBA. If he sucks, so be it. It was the correct pick and has the possibility of being a real game changer for us.
It appears that we are not going to offer Len or Williams anything, which is perfect IMO. If they get an offer we can live with, match it. Otherwise let them both walk and bring in some more youngsters to run the court and defend.
