Jaren Jackson Jr is better than Bamba since he can guard 3 positions probably 4....

Bamba wont play clutch minutes when the other team puts a 6'8 guy who can shoot 3s and drive around Bamba... Example.. put someone like Durant or Green.. or heck Lebron.

Jackson Jr is more mobile and almost as long... 6'11 and 7'5.25 wingspan.... and HANDS bigger than A.Davis... bigger than Bamba's too... so potential to catch lobs and protecting the ball in traffic.

Um. 6-11, 7-5.25 is not almost as long as 7-1, 7-10. That is some pretty freaky math you are doing there.

Bamba has 2.5 inch advantage in his arm length.

But he doesn't move his legs and feet as well as Jackson Jr. Its so obvious.

Bamba looks like cartoonishly thin and imbalance when changing direction compared to Jackson Jr.

Jackson Jr is much more coordinated.

Bamba is probably 2 years away until he becomes strong enough. Jackson Jr looks more wiry setting and covers more area in defense... Very critical in protecting the arc then the paint... And Celtics do that very well.

People fall in love with dimensions but movement with those dimensions are as critical

JJJ having a year or two to develop under Stevens/Horford wouldn’t be fair. Can’t wait until the Celtics have to pay all these guys.

I have let Howard know of this issue as it was happening to me last week when I was using my phone. I haven't been getting it as often, but if the issue is still there I will certainly let him know again. Last I heard, he has told the powers to be of this issue already.

Wish we could do something about this but mods don't have this level of wizardly power. Though I heard it has something to do with your cookies and possibly if you browse too many uh... bad websites per se?

Lol I don't browse "bad websites" on my phone. I have a laptop for that.

So hopefully if we could get the #4 we only have to beat out the Hawks....and who knows if they have him as high on their board? I think Hawks go Bagley.

1. Ayton
2. Porter
3. Bagley
4. Doncic

Crazy to see that top 3 again, as thats pretty much what it was at the very beginning of the season.

Where did that post go Kerrsed? Kings are clearly interested in Doncic :D

How come no one has done this yet:

http://www.euroleague.net/competition/players/showplayer?pcode=005929&seasoncode=E2017

Donic with
-10/1/0
-8/5/4
-7/10/3
-17/4/5

AGAINST MIKE FREAKING JAMES! Who had:

24/8/3
20/1/6
14/0/2
18/5/6

My dudes....let's take Ayton @ 1 and let's ONLY trade up for another top 5 pick if it is reasonable.

Mr. Wonderboy could be a gigantic bust.

I'm sick of all this "Oh...Luka was the MVP of the Euroleague," or "Oh the competition over there is tougher then the NCAA" Blah blah blah.

Dude got worked by Mike James. WORKED. James couldn't even stay on our roster over Ulis.

This is a good example of the downside of boxscore-only assessments. If you watch the Mike James highlights video (good lord such a thing exists) for game 1 below you'll see Doncic was not the one guarding him, and vice versa. Looked at a general highlights vid of game 2, same thing.

In the end, I'm still leaning Ayton, but really like Doncic as well. Side note - pretty amazing how easy it is to pull up video of these guys nowadays, 20 years ago we might not have even had any boxscores to look at.

Doncic is a point forward with potential to be combo forward when he gets stronger... Larry Bird lite with poorer shooting... So down the line maybe when he's not as quick anymore he can play a role similar to an agile and quicker Diaw

I think his role will be exactly that of Ben Simmons. He will be almost as big (6-8 now I think), he is not as athletic but a much better shooter. So, whatever role that is.

There is a growing belief that both the Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks are prepared to pass on Luka Doncic if he is available to them at No. 2 and No. 3.

The Phoenix Suns are expected to take Deandre Ayton at No. 1.

Another team could conceivably trade up with the Kings or Hawks to select Doncic, but he could also slide to the Memphis Grizzlies at No. 4 or even the Dallas Mavericks at No. 5.

Doncic struggled at times in the Euroleague Final Four, which was attended by a host of scouts and NBA decision-makers.

Suns have a good chance of getting pick 4 from Grizzlies.

Suns have room to absorb Parsons if Grizzlies want Warren and one of Chriss or Bender and Pick 16 and unprotected picks for 2019.

If not Warren... They can trade Chandler and Dudley.

Celtics doesn't have the room to trade with Grizzlies that send back Parsons.

Parsons is holding them back with that 23 million a year contract....

Pick 4 and Bender for Pick 2... Assuming Kings will pass on Doncic... And they know Bamba or Jackson Jr is available at Pick 4.. Or heck Michael Porter. Or even Bagley

I'd be disappointed if he slid to the Mavs. I think a coach like Carlise would coach the hell out of that kid and make teams who let him drop to #5 really regret it. Also that's potentially their next Euro franchise player after Dirk. That's a narrative I would be jealous of for a long time if it panned out

Hence Pick 4 is the latest the Suns have the chance to nab Doncic IMO.

I have an unhealthy optimism that we could get that Memphis pick

With Grizzlies...
My thinking is.. They want to keep Evans.
But they need contributors and assets for Parsons.

Pick 4... Sure... Huge asset could them a good rookie. But they lose Evans.

By trading Parsons... Grizzlies resigns Evans... Get someone like Warren who can score 15 to 20 for them. Then have Chriss as a rotation player and 3 picks... Very good in making a run next season until Gasol and Conley comes off their team.
