I really hope his intention is to sign a longer term deal (3/$100m is what's reported in the article) with Phoenix. I don't see CP3 doing us dirty and bailing after one season, it just doesn't seem like he's that type of guy. But I could be wrong...

He's due 45+M next season, a new deal drops his number down to 33 roughly. As long as he stays of course, but I'd be shocked if he didn't. He sought us out, not the other way around. Also, if he finishes top 4 MVP (which he should) this might be his best season as far as that stuff is concerned or at least his best since his NOP days.

CP3, Book, Bridges, Crowder, Ayton, Payne, Johnson and Craig are an amazing top 8 players. We do have some holes to fill at the end of the bench, 2 guard, and 5. But saving 12 million, would go a long way to making it easier to stomach. That 12 million probably covers over 50% of what Bridges will make.

Plus I'd add that's only for 3 years. We can easily make the contract decreasing in $$$. Give him the biggest hit next season when DA and Bridges are on still on their rookie deals and have it get lower each of the next two years. Than things will somewhat balance out when their extensions kick in. Also, with the league likely getting 2 more teams, there's gonna be a major influx of money coming in for the current owners.

I actually did a little math and if the Suns signed Ayton to $24m/per and Bridges to $20m/per and CP3s salary dropped by about 12 million we could end up a hair under the projected tax (140m). We'd have to go into the tax to sign Craig and Payne unfortunately, but it wouldn't be crazy numbers. Craig might be able to be had for the Tax Payer Exception, which I BELIEVE would mean we were only paying the tax on Payne's salary, which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

I have a feeling the Lakers role players will play out of their minds without AD. Lebron will likely put up 28/8/8/8 TO's. But at the end Booker hits a game winner and the Sund propel 109 to 107.

This game scares me due to fact their role players sucked and Lebron must have told them " guys just give me one good game" type of speech. I can just see KCP nail 5 threes, Caruso 3 threes, Morris 2-3 threes, Gasol a few along with Lebron. If they hit 14-15 threes somehow I dont like our chances.

That fear, that doom and gloom that you're feeling is natural. It's what the mind does to prepare you for the worst so if it does come to fruition, you're not taken by surprise. But let me put you back on the right frame of mind with some thoughts.

In this entire series so far:
- no Laker player had hit more than 2 three's outside of Lebron this entire series.
- Lakers are shooting poorly from the 3 not just because of our defense but because Lakers just shoot poorly from the 3 (#25 in 3PM, #21 in 3P%).
- KCP has shot 1 for 13 so he may be due for a few 3PT hits but he's coming back from a knee injury and likely won't be 100%. He'll also have Booker duties.
- Caruso has hit 4 so far in the series on 14 attempts although he is a solid 40% shooter from 3. He's a bigger impact on defense than offense.
- Kieff has played 12min over 2 games and shoots just over 31% from 3 during the regular season.
- Gasol might hit a few but I think what he puts in offensively, he'll give up defensively too, so I'm not too worried about the 25ish min he may play.
- For them to do what you think they'll do, our defensive scheme would have to crumble entirely.

Lakers are probably gonna shoot well from 3 tonight. Bet they watched film and the #1 focus was on how we were clogging the paint so much.

It’s a road game and we’re just gonna have to withstand some of their runs.

Again, much like every other game in this series, Ayton avoiding foul trouble will be extremely important. Really hope Silver didn’t make the call to the refs for tonight.

I wouldn't mind getting into a bit of a shoot out against their shooters. I'd bet on our shooters vs them.

Anyone from Europe staying up for the game? I really don't wanna miss Lakers being eliminated if it happens but if it doesn't then next day at work is gonna be horrible. Straight from the loss to work with no sleep. Winning would justify it though!
