Luol Deng is not good anymore. He hasn't been good for 3 years. His numbers were inflated by heavy minutes in Chicago and a high usage rate with Rose out.

Hell ya. There isn't many chances to sign quality players. When you wait around for the perfect situation, it's not gonna be there. You have cap space and assets, you use them.

You guys think saving the cap space and assets is smart. It's like hoarders, they save stuff and never use it.

I see 10-12per maybe someone overpays but McD has shown he's not going to overpay anybody and cripple the franchise Growth

I'm honestly shocked at those that are freaking out - every huge contract that gets signed, I'm completely glad it's not us giving that contract out.

Well, it's only three years, and since Dirk is close to retiring, they are going all in, trying to assemble the best team possible, no matter the cost. After two years, when Dirk (probably) retires, Parsons will be expiring, and they will start their rebuild, with or without him, depending on what kind of performance he puts during his time there.

I'm not gonna lie I'm irritated. The FO has been boasting all these assets. I was actually excited because they filled my head with all these delusions of grandeur.

I'm sorry if I'm tired of being the brides maid. I want some reason for excitement.

Granted there is still (always) time to make a big trade.

I'm fine with how things have shook out. If the suns were one piece away I would be fine overpaying a role player like parsons but they aren't so it's just not good business. Cap space can also be used to acquire assets in trades. Summer is far from over so we don't know what moves may be on the horizon. Been saying for a while patience is key when your at this stage of the rebuild.

McDo/Babby showing admirable restraint. Can't help it when other GMs overpay for talent received.
It should be noted we really don't need a sg or sf, especially if we keep Mother Tucker. Crap, I have seen more than a few already pencilling in TJ. May be should see what we have with Goodwin and Warren before we back up the Brinx truck to the Likes of Parsons and Hayward.

Hope he does the same with Bledsoe... I smell a three way if we can sign and trade him.

Furthermore, if nobody is offering Deng a max deal, then it stands to reason we won't have to. Besides, our true need is a PF/C . Any interest in Jason Thompson? Perhaps we throw Bled to them for Stauskas and JT... Add a pick and get Thomas too? Who else out there... Jordan Hill or Kris Humphries?

We'll know in a few days... But some big sneakered dude will be joining us
