If you look at their first three years in the NBA their Per 100 Poss averages are very similar. Now, TJ is a year older than JJ entering his fourth year and his lack of playmaking skills limits his ceiling in comparison to Johnson.

If Warren can take a step forward in shooting and defense (like JJ did but not to that level) they will have a bargain contract on their hands.

I think TJ of the last couple years is worth about $10 mil per. If he can stay healthy, I think that's more like $14. If he can play like he did down the stretch last year or at the beginning, $16. If he added defensive consistency, that's about $18. If he hits two threes a game shooting 36% or better, now we're talking $22. I think the lack of great ballhandling/playmaking skills caps him out at around $24 (assuming both D and 3 ball come together).

All IMO, but yeah, I think it's a bargain contract.

I love that Westbrook re-signed.
Melo will now stay in OKC next year too (not that he would really dump that salary to become a free agent).
George will have to seriously consider re-signing too.

It would be amazing if LeBron has to stay in the east (or choose another team other than LA).

McDonough has backed up his prediction for Warren to be our breakout player.

It reminds me of Morris when he got paid 8m and was considered full value, but McDonough saw his potential so got the deal done early.

Taken out of context, not stopping people from taking it out of proportion though.

Josh Jackson's quote was taken out of context.

But of course clicks and media coverage will benefit more if they focus on the "small" and "unathletic" bit.

Such a terrible tease. At first I thought the first team should easily win but not much defense there and a lot more defense on the other side. It would be interesting. The first team sounds super exciting though, and then to be able to throw Jackson in that mix...and Bledsoe of course if here long term.

I wonder if they specifically put the best defensive players on one side for a reason.

Hey Suns fans, curious what you think Phoenix would trade to the Cavs for the Nets pick?

Westbrook's extension takes him off the table for partnering with Lebron in LA and also makes it more likely Paul George stays.

Wade and Lebron both seem very happy to be playing together again too. Melo is off the table as a banana boat buddy and there are limited guys close enough to Lebron / Rich Paul available.

The Cavs have been listening to offers for the Nets pick since they acquired it. Keeping it in this context seems increasingly dangerous though if there is a trade out there that could make Lebron happy enough to tilt the scales of staying or going.

Maybe the Lakers get left out in the cold again, and Cleveland decides to go for it by trading for a Bledsoe-based package, or someone else close to Lebron inc.
