Not a fan of this sort of prognosticating. Archie came into the NBA at 18, he's had a steep learning curve but its impossible to determine just how good he might be. There is good reason why McDaniels remains unsigned, he's just not a very good player. He has stat-padded on some weak sauce Philly teams.

I have no trouble believing Archie could replicate if not do better with the minutes McDaniels received on a weak Philly team.

McDaniels: 18.1ppg, 7.4rpg, 3apg, 39.9fg% per100 possessions (with Philly)
Archie: 21.5ppg, 6.9rpg, 4.1apg, 39.3fg% per100 possessions

So Dallas is screwed (Jordan is definitely not signing with Dallas). The whole situation is just shady. I don't like Cuban but be a fuc&ing man Jordan and face the situation (Cuban). Jordan is hiding from it and having his crew deal with it.

Dallas is definitely worse as a team than last year. Clippers will still not get past the semi's.

Cuban is going to let EVERYONE know how he feels. You can bet on that.

Actually Leuer severely regressed last season even when he was given more opportunities playing more games with a higher MPG(he even started 6 games). His Per 36 indicates that he cut his 3pt attempts in half while shooting even worse from beyond the arc(well below 30%) which is pathetic considering the limited volume. He's a lanky technically proficient white guy with a Bo Ryan pedigree so people just assume he's an ideal Stretch 4.

@WojYahooNBA: Here's concern within some front offices right now: Will Mavericks come chasing our committed free agents if they have new-found cap space?

This may affect the Suns! Chandler could change his mind, if Dallas now offers more money.

I'm gonna laugh if Mavs convince Chandler to stay in Dallas.

If Chandler is seduced into reneging we might have the worst frontcourt depth in the league

This could very well happen. I could see Cuban going scorched earth and coming after a guy like Chandler, Sideshow Rob and several other players. Hope the Suns have the paperwork ready for Chandler to sign at 9 PM tonight.

Looks like he will be a solid player and a good citizen. Would likely provide leadership in the locker room. To me, he fills the Gerald Green role, not the PJ Tucker role.

39% on 600 attempts!

Outstanding, looking at 3 point efficiency in terms of volume. Doesn't happen often from posters on this board. Most just look at the efficiency number and never look at the volume the efficiency covers. 39% efficiency on 3's is very good, when spread out over 600 shots it's great!

Well done Sir!

So far, Clippers able to keep everyone else out of house, including Cuban, agents. Everyone. They're in four-corners until midnight Eastern.

Exactly. The lack of balance on the Suns roster is disturbing.

And then they sign another backcourt player. The same thing most/some said all last year, there is absolutely NO balance on this roster.

Well I guess draft 2016 number 13 pick your always welcome in Phoenix.

I think Weems will take most of his time from Goodwin and Booker, not Warren.

This will be Goodwins third year in the NBA. He needs to compete with Weems and win some PT. If he can't he isn't ready to play anyway.

Booker is 18 and will get to play intermittently throughout the season.

Weems looks like a very good player with something to prove and a skill set we need. Its a good signing.

Goodwin is 20 years old, should actually be entering the draft this coming year... or just the recent draft.
Weems will play the SF spot... since the Suns need a spacer at the 3 and penetrators at the PG/SG spots.

Goodwin also played well in the minutes he got over 15 minutes. NO ONE in the NBA will look good playing 5 minutes on the court then yanked out.

Booker is 18 years old, has the build of a teenager, even less muscular than Goodwin when he entered... Booker might have posted the best agility out of the players drafted but overall including players NOT drafted, he is far from the best there.
I think Booker will be D-league bound and get 5-7 minutes here and there in the 2nd half of the season.

Weems is 6'6, Iguadala's size... and Iggy played SF primarily. Weems will fill that Iggy spot for the Suns, basically 3D guy... but slightly better 3pt shooting and a heck of a lot less defensively.

Tucker isnt athletic enough to be recipient in transition plays... he also is pedestrian in being that corner guy in transition, where Quentin Richardson, Raja Bell etc DID an excellent job in. I see Weems that guy... that guy off the bench who runs along the PG to position himself in the elbows and corners to get a dish-out then catch and shoot immediately before defense catches up... Anyways thats my opinion.

Suns still doesnt have their "STAR" player so I dont think McD will sell out the YOUTH, they are insurance, just in case the season goes SOUTH again... I can understand trading out the Youth when you have a 2-3 year window... but Suns are far from that...

Just get him signed tonight and move on. Chandler doesn't seem like the type to renege, Jordan is just a giant vagina.

Lemne try again: Mavs' contingency in case Jordan goes back to Clips: focusing on Wizards' free agent center Kevin Seraphin, per source.

Are we safe? :P

This DeAndre situation is absurd on a few levels. Not a good look for him his agent or the clips really. It's one thing to back out of a deal but to have this circus with emoji and dudes not leaving his house is just clown show.

Differentiating between the 2 and 3 is pointless. Knight, Tucker and Warren will get consistent minutes at the wing positions this year. Bledsoe will get a little off-the-ball play as well. Weems is going to battle it out with Goodwin and Booker for the remaining court time. If Weems is good enough to supplant Tucker As the starter, I think Tucker will play often along side Warren in the second unit.

I want Archie to play but as of last time I saw him he couldn't shoot at all. That's a problem in this offense especially if both Bledsoe and Price struggle from deep as well. On top of that Tucker is the best perimeter defender we have outside of Bledsoe. It will be hard or Goodwin to replace that on the court.

Return to Phoenix Suns
