Well we have been doing this for the past few years, and if you have been here for the draft, then you know that Woj leaks the picks before they are announced on TV. Therefor we have 1 thread for those that are watching live and dont want the picks to be spoiled, then a Woj Bomb draft thread for the ones that dont care, as people will be posting his twitter spoilers in that one.

Well I think we have all talked #4 and #13 to death but with the other two picks that the Suns do you think that the Suns will surprise us with someone here. A name that I havent seen much before that I can see the Suns picking up is Patrick McCaw and work to turn him into a 3D small forward. Who else might surprise the fans with late picks?
Just say no to idiots!!

It's quite safe to assume Chriss will develop into a Markieff Morris type of player, which is still quite disappointing with the 4th pick. At this point I hope there is a trade for Okafor. Even if he is not a good fit on the team he will probably bring more value in a future trade.

Safe to assume? where do you get that? There's nothing safe about Chriss - not a word you can attribute to him. Also they're kind of a different type of players. All in all - say what you will about Markieff, but after all he's a decent to good NBA power forward, while there's a big risk Chriss will never reach even that kind of an on court value. There's quite a big chance that Chriss will never be as good as Markieff even.

My assumption is based on the fact that the rumors that he is our pick are actually true. I somewhat trust McD's talent evaluation and if he drafts Chriss that early I will expect him to become nothing less than Markieff. But I don't see that big of an upgrade over him too.

If McDonough selects Bender or Chriss it will be the first time out of about 40 players acquired, that it has been predicted.

For that reason, I'm expecting a spanner in the works, it's a complete myth that GMs pick for position in the top 5, yet that's what mocks are based on.

That nobody has predicted a McDonough acquisition out of about 40 players over 3 years, so it would seem unlikely tonight.

Combined with those predictions just happen to be PF needs based, and GMs just don't select for need in the top 5 of the draft.

He's saying Hield will be the pick.

It will be refreshing to have an interesting draft night after such boring season and uninspiring draft campaign.

I don't think Hield is in our top 4.

That's not even true, I saw mocks last year with us having Booker and 2 years ago with Warren.

I also don't think they're as need based as you're making it seem. As has been said many times, this isn't about drafting the player who's the best player now it's who's going to be the best player over their career.

I think our plan A is to trade pick 4 for a PF.

If we want a PF to be better than Markieff Morris before 2020, then that route makes more sense.

I gotta say I disagree. I can't tell if you're overrating Markieff, or underrating the draft class.

Will Bender or Chriss be a 18 / 8 player (per 36) by 21?

They certainly could be, but obviously there's no guarantees. Why couldn't they? That's 2 more years of coaching and experience on the 2 players with arguably the highest ceilings outside of the top 2 picks, and bum ass Markieff was able to do it.

Don't forget the Bledsoe tweet. We might go Hield and sign Barnes. That's not a bad team, especially when you throw in all of the unknowns of the players. You know exactly what you are getting in Hield, a "one trick pony" that has one helluva trick.
