Celtics with Aldridge and Green...

C: Horford / Olynik / Zeller
PF: Aldridge / Horford / Johnson
SF: Crowder / Green
SG: Green / Bradley
PG: Thomas / Smart

Thats a nice team.... could come out of the East... just so many Plus defenders at the wing.

Yup.

The thing is... if any team can develop Jackson to reach his potential... Spurs is that team.

They develop good players into franchise players.

I bet the did and I bet Boston hung up. So help me god if the suns take that package....

Thank goodness Danny Ainge is on the other

Ryan - if you see a number from San Antonio - don't answer
that cart has left the building

By the way - it would take Green/Aldridge for Bradley, Crowder and Tyler Zeller in the ESPN Trade Machine

I have no idea who the Spurs like but would love to know who - Josh Jackson ? Tatum?

Some of those players would have to go back to San Antonio for the salaries to match. Zeller, Crowder, Smart, Bradley or a combination of three plus the pick

Sarver - do not go back for Aldridge - do not do it for the 3

If they want Chandler and Knight for Aldridge/Green - well, still not sure that makes sense but don't give up the 4th for LMA and DG

Celtics has room... maybe they package Amir Johnson to Spurs.

Spurs plan?
I think they will field a team with four 6'7+ guys who can play multiple positions just like the Warriors..

C: Dedmon/Lee
PF: Gasol/Lee/Bertans
SF: Kawhi/Simmons
SG: Jackson/Anderson
PG: Murray/Mills/Anderson

Then contact Chris Paul!... oh my.

Spurs have Chip Engelland, the shooting coach who developed Leonard's form/shot. I think he would work wonders with Josh Jackson. Suns should legitimately trade for him if we get JJ lol

Spurs probably want to dump salary to then sign Paul. Adding Paul and either Jackson or Tatum would really be a step up for their future.

Amir Johnson is a free agent - I don't think they have room. But I think you are right - they want CP3 and a quicker smaller team

They can have Brandon Knight for Danny Green - no 4th pick

What about the Rockets - Morey wants to move Beverly, Sweet Lou or Anderson; Barbosa has a non guaranteed deal until July 3

Beverly - who is a tough guy, good defender, for Barbosa and the Rockets first round pick in 2019 Or does Beverly not work well with Ulis

Barbosa for Beverly and a future 1st? Am I reading that right? I get the salary dumpness of it but Beverly makes only about 5m.

Beverly makes 6m - signed for two more years, through 2019
Williams makes 7m, signed for one more year, through 2018
Barbosa has a deal of 4m but only 500k guaranteed if waived by 7/3

So the Rockets would clear either 5.5 or 6.5m in savings to try to get CP3, Lowry, etc

Per the ESPN trade machine, the Suns could take both Williams and Beverly for Barbosa but that would use up all the cap space and the Suns probably would still only get the 1 first round pick. So, for that part of the trade, if the Rockets wanted to move Capela for Derrick Jones and a 2019 first - well, there you go, buying assets.
Rockets would save about 12m bucks - but the Suns would need Capela and the 2019 first . Not sure if a smart move - just a way to get assets.

Well back to just your basic Barbosa for Beverly and a 1st rounder idea...

Beverly at 5.5m this year and a non-guaranteed 5.0m in 18-19 is a crazy good contract for a player of his caliber. He's very much a positive asset. Barbosa for Beverly straight-up would be a great swap just talent alone, add in Beverly's contract and it gets even better. If anything, I think a pick going back to Houston would make more sense. I'm sure losing 5.5m for their payroll would be viewed as good, but losing Beverly and a 1st round pick to do it? Can't see that at all.

Not advocating the deal, just curious about your rationale

Made me laugh so hard.

Anyway, he basically said that we should try and dump Knight and would have to attach Chriss, but Kevin O'Connor said he would love to have Chriss and that he will be "good."

Bill said that HE HIMSELF IS THE SOLE CREATOR of the Booker/4 for Porzingis/8 (I hate how Bill thinks and talks but whatever he puts out a lot of content). Kevin O'Connor didn't say much but they think the ONLY reason Porzingis might be in trade talks is because of health reasons.

Basically no real news. They both think we take Josh Jackson but O'Connor is way higher on Tatum and Simmons is super mad at JJ for not working out for the Celtics.

AInge will bust McD's party by drafting Jackson tomorrow... I just know it... I just hope McD doesnt get stubborn. If Jackson is the guy... then trade up as long as its reasonable... as in maybe swap 2018 picks with Celtics or offer one of Suns/Heat pick but with protection.

13:00 - Knight Contract Dump w/ Chriss --- Just speaking about salary dump and they mentioned the only way a team would take Knight would be w/ Chriss suggested by Kevin Oconnor. He said they should not do it, Chriss will be good. (High/Retain Cap - convo started w/ Brooklyn and what other teams could do other than Brookylns deal w/ Lakers)

16:00 -- Booker/Porzi -- Talked about how Porzi name came up for three hours in the trade discussions like this board/twitter were speaking about. Who says no type of situation between the two teams. Porzi +8 for Booker+4 -- What is the list of guys with 25 foot range who can protect the rim in finals game - draymond, durant and porzi. Towns maybe in three years per Simmons. Simmon and Kevin would not trade Porzi -- Kevin also said the injury history in last two years -- left leg injury pre draft, ankle injury/thigh/achilles injury and shoulder injury end of rookie season. With his unusual frame, that is the risk and why Knicks might be listening to offers.

I didn't realize Beverly only really had a one year deal - the last year is non guaranteed. That is a differnet story - no way would the Rockets send back that pick. I just thought that if the Suns would take on a contract - they would get a pick for doing it

Strong suspicion: I don't think Ainge can make a deal with McDonough, because he already has the #3 going in a package to Chicago for Butler. Jackson didn't go to Boston because it's already known he's going to end up in a Bulls uni.

Suns are going to end up taking Tatum over Fox and I'm going blaaah about it.

McD is getting excited! He may finally have signed Tyson for a real reason!

It means he would be really good for them. They have the best shooting coach in NBA history in Chip Engelland.

That's how Kawhi became so good for them and that's how Tony Parker, who used to have a Ricky Rubio type jumper, developed a nice shooting stroke as well.

Thing is Josh Jackson could bust with other teams because no other team has Engelland but the Spurs do.
