Ayton himself will completely change the game back to the days of old and the low post centers will become extremely relevant again.

Ok, maybe not.

Glad Jones put that to bed. I was starting to worry we were incompetent!

I guess you didn't listen, but some of these tweets out there are leaving a lot out of context. He didn't say "better" and the only reason he brought up where they were sitting because you could tell people were reporting that Suns scouts were not there because they didn't see them in the press box...so he mentioned they were sitting closer.

I mean even someone like Sidery will report that scouts from "_______________" are at the game because they are all in one spot. But we knew there were Suns scouts at some of these events regardless of that...they just choose to sit closer.

Ok, maybe not.

How many rookie big men at 20 do you know averaged 16 11 2 1 and 1? How many rookies any position do you know of with those numbers at age 20? Ayton will be at 20 12 4 1 and 2 probably as soon as next season and those numbers will continue to rise.
Like I said months ago this team decided to tank this season the day they fired McDonough. They are putting out misinformation because media will call them out for tanking. This season was used to give booker experience at the 1 and see which rookies and other young guys should be kept around for the future. They’re giving James or whoever becomes the next gm the opportunity to build this team the right way. That means not making desperate moves for a pf or pg to worsen your draft position and still miss the playoffs or trade young prospects for a guy who barely helps the team. Once you guys start to understand that you’ll be able to have more optimism for the future because this offseason is where the suns turn the corner. All these reports from woj is because he’s acting like a child because he’s gotten zero information probably since McDonough left and he can’t handle being left in the dark. So he does what any bitter petty person does and that’s throw shots for no reason.
This team was never going to be able to compete. The losing sucks but 50% of this team is constructed of g league players. No one not even Sarver or the worst gm ever would keep this team the way it is this long ignored there wasn’t a plan in place.

The off-season is going to be the Jonestown massacre for sure. Everyone knows Champ already has the job and Sarver is desperate.

I didn't mean that as a knock on Ayton...but more that the post game isn't coming back as a major component of team strategy. I've mentioned that I think Ayton's #s are remarkable for a guy that does not have good shooters around him to draw out defenders as well as not having a good PG. So not only is it tough for guys to get him the ball, but defenders can cave into the paint without repercussion and he still puts up 16 on elite %.

I know this team sucks...with a lot of G league type players on the roster but much of that is the result of McD. I mean we've give high usage to one of his most recent picks who doesn't have too impressive of an offensive rating.. https://imgur.com/DXDMRi6

Not only for ayton but for booker as well. It’s not hard to tell the way teams defend the suns. They basically play a zone defense against us. They crowd the paint and basically just have a man smother booker. Like a box and one defense. It makes it hard for ayton to get touches in the paint and hard for booker to get open. They do this because our team sucks at the 3 and are all too young to figure out how to take advantage of that defense. That’s why I think it’s so crazy that people actually consider trading booker and ayton. If these guys had shooters around them they’d be killing it. This is why oubre isn’t important and why he’s so much more valuable than Holmes.

Woj probably is shut out. He obviously didn't go to Jones on the Ariza trade, at least initially. But the narrative is there and ESPN is not going to do us any favors.

Not sure but Woj hates Lebron and given how close JJ is to Lebron I could see jones refusing to give Woj info which leads to him sending out biased tweets. Not saying our front office isn’t a **** show and a joke, but Woj has his own agendas

If the agenda is getting Sarver a nice fat check and a kick in the a@@ out of Phoenix....

I think when suns almost got beat by the New Zealand team in the preseason James and Sarver realized this team was really bad and needed to get rid of McDonough and have a 1 year redo rebuild

Return to Phoenix Suns
