Damn, Kings lost by one point. Hopefully they can win the two home games, but now I can see Warriors winning 4:2 with more experience on their side.

Boston looking like the strongest candidate to the finals due to injuries to Giannis and Embiid our east.
It’s too far to speculate but if we ever meet Boston in the finals I have no faith we can beat them given their strong defense and star power. They swept the Nets last season and have KD figured out.

They are both great. Why Compare?

Because comparisons are natural, and the NBA is built on them?
All-star

All-NBA
Head to head match-ups.

It's a wild-take, tho.
SGA is a great player. Incredible regular season, but SGA's game is pretty easy to shut down in the playoffs, it seems. It's all mid-range and drives, his counters and are not as good as Booker's, nor is his footwork.
Booker has the better team tho, so maybe SGA would be killing it here, too.

HIm being way better is a wild take, but he had a great year and will be higher on the MVP list I think. And probably will be All NBA. At SGA's age I think he was a little better. But at this point, at best it's similar. I imagine he would also look a lot better playing with KD..
I thought they were similar this year...and that's not a knock. They are both top 10 players, or right there
But Book in the playoffs has been phenomenal...but we don't know that SGA would or wouldn't be.

Haha, SGA being "way better" than Booker is not a wild take, it's a crazy take.
"almost as good as KD" is just non-sense.
But these two crazy points were brought up by the poster I quoted when he was trying to defend how much Sam Presti has done for the Thunder... which at this point is still NOTHING other than being a NBA farm team and collecting assets.

Fox fractured his finger and might not play in G5 against the Warriors. Absolutely brutal.
Grizzlies apparently moving on from Brooks. I guess they don't want him around Morant.

Suns/Nuggets/Warriors/Lakers are the only teams in the West that basically don’t have significant injury they’re dealing with right? And even then we’ve been dealing with Payne out.
Grizzlies have Adams/Clarke out (sucks especially against AD), Clippers obvious, Sacramento with Fox now, and Minnesota has McDaniels/Reid out, latter of whom is their best perimeter defender.

First, I love Booker. He's a great homegrown player who is 1 of the top 20 players in the league but to answer your question about what world SGA is better than Booker?
The one where he's 1st team all NBA and Booker didn't make any of the teams? BTW your ability to decipher player's worth is limited. I mean you said this:

I am not even sure if I would trade Cam Johnson in a package for KD anymore.
Still feel that CamJo is better than KD?

I like Ayton a lot as everyone knows. But honestly.........................

He's gotta know that he's not been playing well or consistent, or up to his pick designation and contract salary though?!?!!
Perhaps he's being absolutely truthful when he says he doesn't know what motor means...lol. But Tesla battery..............really?? The sad part is that Ayton is built more like a monster truck with a Prius battery! He's got the talent, ability, athleticism to be historically great. But is still far too soft and passive. It's like having a powerful sasquatch with the personality of a care bear! I really hope he finds his fire and determination to finally dominate instead of capitulate. Again, I'm one of Ayton's biggest supporters, but it's very frustrating to hear him not recognize or accept his weaknesses and barriers to greatness.

I love Booker but if I had to pick one to start a team I guess I'd lean SGA even if we took age out of the equation. But my opinion doesn't really count for much because I'm extremely biased towards SGA since he's my dynasty league guy.
He's better than Luka and Trae already, that much is sure. At least this year he was. Although I think he will have to take more 3s to increase his ceiling.

I think Ayton is a good guy. But half the time I hear him speak I get the the Anchor Man quote 'why don't you stop talking for a while? Maybe sit the next couple plays out' going through my head.Ghost of Kleine wrote:

Booker isn't on any All NBA team because he was injured for a long time in the RS.
I can understand to value SGA high (I love him too) but he is not WAY BETTER than Book, that's isn't even debatable IMO.
Regarding KD, obviously Cam Johnson was on the table for him but at the moment that I did that comment I was bitter about KD playing for the Nets again.
On our trade thread from the summer I suggested basically the same deal that finally got KD on the Suns at the deadline.
I can't find the exact comment, but I wanted to trade Mikal, Cam Johnson, Saric + 4 unproteceted FRPs and 2 swaps for KD.
James Jones changed Saric and 1 swap for Crowder...so pretty pretty close.
I found a comment talking about that potential trade offer from Tue Aug 9, 2022 ...
IDK...this team needs help. Game 6 was horrible and Game 7 was legendary on a terrible way.
We are not losing Booker and Ayton, they are our cornerstones for the future. Cam Johnson is OK, but he is already in his prime and I don't know if he is starter material. Picks...I don't care and James Jones clearly doesn't care.
So we would only lose Mikal Bridges. Big loss...but it's KD.
