Nets tried to get Bledsoe for Thad Young but we declined. Glad McD is not that stupid.

Part of me hopes Jamal Murray just to read the meltdown afterwards.

Like the Amare/McDyess comps
I think you should look more at the Rudy Gay comparisons. While I dont see Chriss having the ball-handling skills yet to be a small forward I do see him as being a player that space the floor and post up some smaller players down low.
Just say no to idiots!!

He was the second favorite a few weeks back.

Never mind that he was trying to trade him for an expiring Hayward. smh
No free agent is going to want to sign there, including Hayward, outside of like Harrison Barnes for max money because no one else wants to pay that bum.
Literally anything McD does at this point will be "evidence" to some of his incompetence.
I'm not in favor of dealing Bledsoe for Hayward, because he's expiring. I hope we wouldn't, and that this rumor is a red herring. But moving one of Bled or Knight is Smart.

And the Earl Clark failure that was brought up has me afraid of Chriss now AND that was the year Curry came out and MJ died. So Prince has died this year and Hield is coming out and we are thinking about another project player.......creepy....
I'm starting to get a feeling our pick will come out of left field, like Dunn or Murray. I'd be ok with Dunn if we trade one of our Knight/Bledsoe. He would be a good backup and cover for injury to Bledsoe, and would pair ok with Knight when Booker wasn't playing. Would prefer to keep Bledsoe and let Dunn back him up and if Dunn shows he is ready to take over full time then we could deal Bledsoe as well.
Or I wouldn't be surprised if we took Murray.
At this point I think I'd almost be most surprised if we take Bender, so of course we probably will.

Goodman was just on SportsCenter and said that the Celtics are focused on Dunn & Brown if Ainge doesn't trade #3.

Yeah, McD seems to be getting desperate now like at the trade deadline two seasons ago. When he gets desperate, bad things happen.

I hope the latest mock draft from Draftexpress.com will be true. They have us taking my two favourite players of this class. Chriss and Luwawu. Would really love it. I knwo this board is not high in Chriss. But he has big upside and is a great talent.

SunZel wrote:Would really hate the Chriss pick. I really want the Suns to be like the Spurs someday with a bunch of high iq players that do all the little things and make sacrifices to win games. Lack of effort on defense and rebounding with his talents is inexcusable. This will become real apparent in playoff games.
Also watching these playoffs made me feel that Bledsoe is very valuable in todays league for his defense at pg position. Steph curry was forced to hide every time they played elite guards. so i hope we don't trade him and draft murray.
I'm guessing your one of those guys that had their career mastered at age 18,then. Congrats. People that live in the real world usually take a few years, after 18, to learn and hone their craft. So let's just dismiss the 18 YO because he doesn't have every facet of the game worked out already...
He can shoot. He can dribble. He could potentially defend different positions. He is intelligent. He is charming.
Chriss, 18, also is relatively new to basketball and it shows. He has played only five years of organized basketball, which seems obvious now that he fouled out 15 times in 34 games as a Huskies freshman. There also is a maturity issue, not abnormal for a teen and something he addresses without prompting.
This is what frustrates me with this whole draft process--Seniors show a much better understanding of the game than Freshman coming out--shocking, I know...
Just because Chriss has some issues, DOESN'T mean he won't be coached up in those areas, and like this report states, Chriss is intelligent, he's just raw.
You say lack of effort is inexcusable?? Are you sure it's lack of effort, and not something else? Just because a guy isn't running 100% all of the time doesn't mean he has a lack of effort, it's more likely figuring his role out, more than anything.

Earl Watson once said Gordon Hayward was on an improvement trajectory akin to Kevin Durant.

Of course I can't follow the news because I have to drive across town for a board meeting and then all the way back across town in the worst Austin traffic. Hopefully I get back in plenty of time for the draft.

Yea, but its something for our talks as well. Thank you for providing!
Our general community feels PHX is the more appropriate partner for a rumored/what if trade deal with Young.

I think many have come around on him. A ton of people liked his upside at 13 when he was projected more in the late lottery. It's not like the people in between 4 and 12 have a ton of separation.

He's not a great rebounder or shot blocker right? And I know he can't spread the floor. Can he play defense? What exactly is he good at?

Combined with those predictions just happen to be PF needs based, and GMs just don't select for need in the top 5 of the draft.
