If some team offers something stupid like 4/48 you have to let him walk, right? paying him when hes on the other side of 35 doesnt seem smart.
Lopez just signed a 4/52 contract, so $10 million might be the going market. If Baynes continues like he is, he is probably the more effective player overall, though I admit I haven't watched Lopez a ton. WG might have some insight here.
Lopez can launch 3s which is what the Bucks want but Baynes can do that, be tough, box out, set hard screens, etc. Perfect backup C and I know Ayton's rookie contract is near the same price or probably will be more in his last two years but $20-$25 million for your 2 Cs is fine if the cap is over $110.
We will have backup pgs for cheap so probably will be under $20 there. Oubre only on two year deal, with Bridges on rookie contract for those 2 after this year and Cam on one for 3 after this one.
Not sure if we keep Saric and Kaminsky but even if Saric gets close to $15 as suggested, and we keep Frank for similar amount, that's only another $20. If we keep playing more, I'd just make sure we keep adding rookies at key spots with aging players (PG, backup C and maybe PF).
I wonder what Tyler Johnson will command. I imagine not a whole lot. He's a nice player but there are a lot of players similar. Probably a MLE type.
It seems we may need another potential star to be a contender depending on whether Ayton becomes a top 10 C and Booker keeps up his play, cleans up turnovers, continues to improve D (at least a little) and cleans up a little of the sloppy passing (but that goes with turnovers). I don't see why he wouldn't improve in at least a little better passing and D. Most high usage players inevitably have turnovers, but better passing or not making lobs until he is good at, etc, will help some.
