Sucks for Dallas with KP actually playing all games contrary to last year, unfortunately sucks for us as well. My money for champion goes to Clippers now with Harden injured.

Harden will be back pretty soon. Probably just out for a week.

Yeah I'm hoping the Jazz can take care of the Clippers.

Or just worn out and injured? Mavs entire offense goes through him and he just went 7 games playing 40mpg and put up three 40+pt performances against a defense featuring multiple All-NBA level defenders whose entire game plan is to shut him down.

Yeah if “fat and tired” is what leads to 40 pt triple doubles while taking nasty deuces on the likes of “elite” defenders like George and Leonard then more players need to be fat and tired.

They desperately need another playmaker. He’s doing too much playmaking (because he forcefully has to) and his usage rate is just crazy. I notice in games he tries to give the ball up to someone else to make a play and it ends up in a disastrous shot attempt or turnover each time so then he goes back to handling it again.

Watching him play reminds me of LeBron in Cleveland during his first stint.

Mavs should trade for Rubio. Idk if they have anything they can use to trade but he’d be a great fit there and provide some much needed playmaking.

And yeah Porzingis is an absolute trash player. His contract is gonna hurt them significantly. He’s always injured and even when healthy, he plays like such a soft scrub. 7’3 and just chucks away 3s and does fadeaways on much smaller players when posting up. Yuck.

I think games 1 and 2 showed he needs elite 3 pt shooting. That isn't sustainable. Now I do not know if an elite playmaker would get to handle it enough. There has been rumors KP isn't happy and has said stuff like "the ball actually moved tonight", etc. I think he needs a guy that is fine playing off ball but can handle.

They usually like to have a decent PG who can sometimes play with him like Brunson. I think Rubio doesn't work because you need a better shooter.

A guard like Haliburton would have been good for them as well. But all in all, I though the Clips were the best team and favorites in the west, and Dallas taking them 7 without HCA is not really anything that is something to be absolutely alarmed about. I think any WC playoff team would have lost to the Clippers.

No one rejects such offer, though his stans hoped he rejects it and signs with a better team.

Motivated Ayton destroys Jokic tonight after reading this headline. :D

It's especially hard for a guy like him who has made all NBA teams and qualifies for the higher rookie extension number. If he would play out his QO and leave that way he would lose a **** ton of money.

Plus these dudes know if it really comes down to it they can force a trade at some point so just take the cash and figure out the rest later.

Now let's say Zion doesn't qualify for the higher extension, maybe just maybe he could not extend early and try to leverage his way out.

lol didn't Giannis just sign a supermax extension? What can the Bucks do to improve?

I really thought adding Jrue would be a real game changer but maybe Nets are just peaking at the right time even without Harden.

I wonder how good they'd look with Harden, though I have said in the past they seemed to play better with 2 of the 3 than all 3 for whatever reason, but maybe that's because they rarely got to play with all 3.

Of course if Suns make the finals they would face a super-team. Lucky Lakers had to beat an injured surprise Heat team.

It's going to be interesting if the clippers decide to keep starting Batum at C against Utah. And if they do will Utah be able to take advantage without getting out of their offensive flow.

This Clips vs Utah series is going to drive some purests nuts. The clippers don't even bother starting a C and Utah does but just shoots a **** ton of 3s.

I think it's likely we are headed to Beat LA part 2 then, if the Jazz don't shape up. They simply can't give Clarkson free reign and think they can win that way

Jazz would be doing fine if Kennard hadn't come in and started 3-3 from 3. That's the difference, but the Jazz need Conley. Without him they have no chance and too little depth. You can't be down an all star and hope to win the 2nd round.

Utah just has so many playmakers that can shoot, dribble and pass which makes them dangerous. Bogdanovic, Ingles, Mitchell, Conley, Clarkson. Many teams barely have 1 or 2 and they have at least 5.
