Re: 2016 Draft and College Ball
If McDonough can somehow get rid of Knight, Chandler and Tucker this off season I really don't care what else he does.
I will make the first contribution to help build a shrine for him in front of Talking Stick Arena, if he accomplishes that goal.

But Euroleague, man. That's like dropping 30 points and grabbing 15 boards. BEAST!!!!!!
It's still better than what he has done, and 60% from 3 is nice, and he should be hs senior playing against much tougher competition than most of the college guys.

He had few better games:
11p 5r 2a 1s 4b(!) in 22m
12p 5r 1s in 17m (but also 5 fouls)
16p 6r 1a 3s 1b in 30m
15p 2r 2b in 17m

Looks like his team play until May, so hopefully can put some performances on the board.
No idea what the Israeli league is like, but DraftExpress and ESPN have always had Bender high based on pro scouting.

Its hard to find recent footage of his games, but he is not getting much playing time though. There are full games though from 2 years ago, when he was 16 year old playing vs bunch of 18 y old kids.He played his best game on that tournament vs Lithuania and Domantas Sabonis(another possible lottery pick in this draft) finishing with 34p(13/19) 14 reb 2 a 2 st 2bl, Sabonis also played amazing tournament but kinda sucked in that game ending with just 2p (1/8) and 11 reb .
Bender stats http://www.fibaeurope.com/compID_8aYeHlfuGF-mF5IqO8aFH1.season_2014.roundID_10067.playerID_100891.teamID_2168.html

Every footage you find on Bender is probably a year or more old with exception of those preseason games he played in US.One guy from Croatia told me that its because of Israel.Fans there are just not interested in recording games or making highlight videos.DraftExpress is probably gonna make new video about him in May or June, whenever Givony decides to collect game tapes from Maccabi.NBA teams can have that access too, but unfortunately we as fans do not. There is, though, one guy on twitter which posts some updates and plays from him based on highlights Maccabi posts on its own YT channel.https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=default&q=CroSports_%20Bender&src=typd
This is from more than a year ago, junior Euroleague vs Virtus

The more I look at the guys in our range, the more I want to like Bender. The unknown can be considered upside, while with other guys you see limitations.

Dunn? Seriously? Are we going back to stockpiling point guards?
I'm just curious how you think Dunn would fit into this squad. Do we have an actual legitimate offensive/defensive system that we will be running next season? I'm not even sure we have even decided on a long-term coach yet.
Dunn is a player. I can understand why you can't figure out where he plays because you have tunnel vision, but the organization can and will if that is the BPA when we draft. "Let us pass on the BPA because we can't figure out how to make him fit" ask Por how that has worked out for them twice!! I see Dunn starting next to Booker 2 years from now, where is Bledsoe and Knight? I could care less.

I agree philosophically you get the guy in the top 5 who can be the next star, regardless of win-now fit.
I don't think that's Dunn though, I see him as below average starter.
Turnovers and Shooting numbers remind me of a Tyreke Evans, Jrue Holiday, Brandon Knight, Darren Collison type.

I would probably trade if there was a good offer if we can't get the top 3 guys I want, but if no good trade available, I wouldn't mind him backing up Bledsoe playing with Knight so Knight wouldn't have to be the ballhandler second unit until hopefully we could trade Knight and let Bogdan play alongside Dunn, and also for Bledsoe injury insurance.

Bender / Len front court could be something.
That's probably the most exciting positional combo that could come out of the draft.

- Per 36 Stats: 16 points / 7 rebounds / 2 blocks.
- Shooting: 58% 2PT, 45% 3PT, 75% FT.

Re: 2016 Draft and College Ball
I really like Ante Zizic, and would love to get another pick in the middle of the first, where I expect him to be drafted. I could see that happening by way of trading down with Denver.
After Simmons, Ingram and Bender are off the board, the next three prospects on my board are all guards - Hield, Murray, Dunn. Bad fits for us, good fits for lots of teams, including Denver. I haven't been able to figure out how to rank the power forwards in this draft, so I wouldn't be surprised if we want to trade down. By trading down, could deal a pick or two to NYK in a Melo deal and get Love from Cleveland or move Love to Boston or some other suitor and still have two or three picks left over. I expect at least one draft-and-stash in any case.

Re: 2016 Draft and College Ball
Pretty dramatic realignment right now on nbadraft.net. Hield to 3. Bender to 6. Chriss on the board at 14. Malik Beasley shooting up to 12. Sabonis ahead of Poeltl. Dwayne Bacon and Danuel House in the first round.
Got some catching up to do on draftexpress vids.

They are such a joke, a bunch of fans overreacting, anybody looking at the website and hoping for any type of guidance is just losing their time.

This is the way it always works. You look at the draft; it's unimpressive. Then closer to the draft guys you've never looked at shoot up the board and change everything.

Some of those are very surprising, but didn't your mock suggest that Rabb would be taken 4th? You're a fan too, perhaps overreacting. These sites are all opinions but at least some of these sites film these guys, travel to watch prospects in person, talk to scouts, etc. Do you?

They have a pretty solid history of predicting the draft. Wanna bet against Beasley going before Hernangomez?

I have had Rabb in my top5 since last summer, I dont change my rankings drastically every week like they do.
They are just looking for click-bait, like hey look nbadraft.net has freaking Brice Johnson in their top10, lets see why.
I watch as much as I can, I guarantee you that my eye for talent crash the guys in charge of nbadraft.net and it is not even close.
They have, Hield at 3, Murray at 5, Sabonis at 9, BJohnson at 10, Murray at 11, Beasley at 12, Bacon at 19 (and ahead of Luwawu

Couldnt care less about their history, who is imo meh at best, they are god awful as talent evaluators.
I would bet you that Hernangomez is going to be a way better player than Malik Beasley, and that if Brice Johnson is a top10 pick he is going to be seen as a major bust in a few years, alla Brandan Wright or Ekpe Udoh.
nbadraft.net and some fans also ,havent gotten the memo about what basketball is today, they are predicting and making picks the same way they did 10 years ago, it is just ridiculous.

Danuel House on the 1st and JHernangomez or Ulis out of it ... I mean the whole Mock is a hot mess, could've been done by a kid, but those are the most obvious headscratchers.
Yo, I ain't putting any faith in them. I see Johnson as a fringe first rounder. They do provide another point of view and help put players on my radar. Dejounte Murray was just inserted on draftexpress's mock for the first time (also updated today with few changes) - in the early second. But Beasley's got some impressive stats and video, and Murray has impressive... well mostly just video. It's not easy assessing guys this young.
Plus, there's a difference between predicting the draft and mocking who you think SHOULD be selected. When mocking yourself, it's important to incorporate both (because if you think someone's talent level exceeds their place in the consensus mock, you're probably not the only one).
IIRC, your mock had some headscratchers as well. And I can't even get through the lotto at this point; I'm all over the map on these guys. But kudos to you for putting the time in and giving us your perspective. Just like nbadraft.net does, your mock puts guys on my radar I might otherwise neglect to look at.
Don't you think Hernangomez looks a bit... soft? What do you think of Petr Cornelie?
