I bet the morris twins held each other's hands as they lost their virginities together . They probably have a special tattoo for it.

With that said, does this front office ever get an ounce of blame for repeatedly watching players' trade values bottom out before they actually trade them?

I bang that drum a lot. Didn't sell high on Goran (got a good return, both objectively AND given the circumstances, but they still put themselves into a position of weakness and probably couldn't get maximum value). Didn't move Green while his value was high, then his value gutterballed and they couldn't move him without taking on trash. Panic moved IT, when it could have been possible to wait him out a little and get more.

The Suns have ALL the leverage in this situation and they SHOULD play hardball with Markieff. If they don't, then that's a huge, huge black mark on them. It will be yet another situation that they themselves created, where they had to negotiate from a position of weakness. It happens to every GM over their career, can't be too mad about that - sometimes, you take a risk that just doesn't pay off. When it becomes a pattern though, that's just terrible.

When was Green's value high, while he wasn't contributing? We haven't heard any deals that could have happened that we missed out on. Goran could have easily walked, so I'm not sure what else we could have received for him because he could just leave any team we traded him to.

IT could have been a panic move, or he could have been a thorn in the locker room where he may have caused more damage staying. I still feel this FO has way more success than failure in trades.

Green's value was high(er) after the '13-'14 season. Even after that great year, he was pretty obviously not part of the long term plans. Would have been a great time to toss his expiring to a contender and nab a couple of small assets, ESPECIALLY if you want to sign IT who duplicates so much of what Green does without also carrying the hefty downside known as "not having a brain".

Suns missed out on using either Bledsoe or Dragic as a chip to move in on Love, or if that was impossible, just dealing Dragic in general after his '13-'14 season. Would've been a sick play to go for max value on the trade there and replace him with IT for a fraction of the price. The PR hit from that would have been extreme, though.

IT seemed to be at least friendly with every team mate not named Dragic, and a lot of them hung out this offseason according to social media. Hard to believe he was a cancer SO BAD that they couldn't have him around anymore and missed out on further boosting his value.

Gambo still knows more about what's going on with the Suns than anyone, especially any national reporter. That's the bottomline!! But your more than welcome to continue to make silly comments.

while Gambo is 99% right, not to anyone's surprise, I'm going to wait until I hear word from the organization or Markieff himself

Throw his ass to the bench for the year or until he decides to man up. Don't give into his temper tantrum just cause he and his brother can't have sleep overs anymore. Start mirza and bring Tj off the bench as the back up 4. And booker back up 3.

Suns screwed on this one.

Him saying he wants out and legal troubles they won't get jack **** for him. They better off just keeping him at least till deadline and see if his prospective changes.

His value won't get worse from then no point to pull the trigger and take a L

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Markeiff needs to stop being so immature. He basically does everything Marcus tells him to do. It's so obvious. I would love to throw his ass to the end of the bench. But I have a better idea, trade him to the worst team in the NBA and let him rot! Philly is a great spot for him. Or suspend markeiff without pay!

Can't afford to trade him on such a good contract. Keep him as far away from the team as possible and hope he doesn't get mad and rob a convenience store or something.

At a minimum we have to wait for progress on the court case.

@InsiderSuns: Sources say following a meeting with Markieff Morris, the Suns have quietly looked to trade him. Marcus revealed last week Keef will be gone

They gonna take a L.
Good luck finding a PF on that contract that is productive and still young.

I say keep him regardless of what he wants.

This sucks. Not because Kieff no longer wants to be a Phoenix Suns but because this has gotten out before we could find a suitable deal to move his unprofessional ass.

I really want to trade him to a place where he'll rot but at the same time I want decent return. The only good thing is he's attached to a 4 year deal which means whoever trades for him knows he's not going to walk in a season or two. We need to really leverage that if we want something good in return.

Keep him. And I bet things can be smoothed over. Gambo is known to exaggerate a bit on players he doesn't like.

I got a laugh out of this. Thanks!
