This should do it. Celtics needed about 2m if they renounce everybody -- so Jerebko - and now can sign Hayward to the Max while keeping Crowder and Smart

How do you think how long it will take for Morris to screw that team up? With the amount of wings Celts now have (Brown, Crowder, Green, Ojeleye, Tatum, Hayward), Morris is not going to get minutes or role he wants. Hell, with IT, Hayward and Horford he might not see the ball much.

Marcus will be an A+ mentor to Jason Tatum. Good move Ainge!

Mook has such a good contract - he can be bought out. The morri signed a pretty sweet deal at the time, for the Suns, 52m split between them for 4 years.

Marcus Morris does not belong on a contender. I doubt he will be there for long, maybe not even a full season. It's bittersweet. He gets to feel important being on a contender and but only see's ~10 minutes per game only to be shipped out again, possibly even further away from his soulmate/brother.

I feel like he's a candidate to be bought out as quickly as possible. If I were the Celtics I wouldn't even let him near the team, let alone Tatum and Brown

Knowing Ainge's MO I doubt that happens. Ainge hates giving up players/assets away for nothing. That's the reason he shopped out Bradley (last year of deal with possible big extension looming next year).

One of the Morons being on the Celtics is, even more, a reason for me to root for their utter failure.

Yes. Marcus would gladly be released or bought out. He would make more on the open market, even now.

I predict he will get bought out and try to sign with the Wizards.

Nets cap is tied up in Otto Porter until Wiz accept or decline - can KCP wait that long or will another team come in and pay him

The Nets finally get to spend their capspace on KCP. Thankfully before Warren went on the market.

Who else would max him? Maybe the Hawks if they let THJ go.

I was just about to say look out for the Hawks to quickly let Hardaway go and come in strong on KCP. That would be a nice little upgrade for them at around the same price point.

Timing will be interesting here. I assume the Nets will be interested but they can't technically sign him until Washington matches the Porter deal. And with the poison pills they put in that Porter deal I would imagine Washington will string that out as long as possible to stick it to the Nets. Now I would assume KCP probably waits for the Nets to be able to make an offer before deciding what to do unless ATL offers the max and he wants to play there.

Assuming Washington matches on Otto Porter sheet, Brooklyn will be a strong contender in the pursuit of Caldwell-Pope, sources tell ESPN.

Read on Twitter

Sources: If Caldwell-Pope's willing to do a one-year balloon deal, the Los Angeles Lakers have significant interest in pursuing him.

And before anyone throws it out there... no I don't think KCP would be a good fit for the Suns :)

If the nets sign kcp they will have improved their backcourt substantially this off season. I could see them push that pick they owe the Celtics to the mid lotto.

Wow, Avery Bradley is traded for Morris, and DET lets KCP walk for nothing. A lot of crow to be eaten around the TT board.
