no offense intended to Jdiddy, but...

he DID just recently draft both Chris Bosh and Eric Bledsoe with the second pick of his fantasy draft.

so..

he MIGHT be confused about the details.

Offseason Thread 6: The Not So Mexican Stand-off Continues

Post#1363 » by Jdiddy701 » Wed Sep 24, 2014 7:18 pm

Hey guys I wish I can say who it's coming from.. Person is legit and have yet to hear wrong things from this person. I would say Traxxe is always the right person to get the information from but I do trust this person and have been told with other things before before its hit the news. If it's wrong, I am sorry I would rather say what I hear than not say anything.

If you have sources can you please get screened by the mods so skeptics don't try to burn you at the stake every time you post speculation ?

I suspect that the sides are discussing all options on 4 or 5 years and numbers that go with them. This is probably why there are differences in information. Do not necessarily think either is wrong or right at this point.

:reporter:
my sources say the mods are not real people.

:reporter:

they are elaborate bots programmed by Howard Mass and differentiated through an reduplicative algorithm that incorporates the speech patterns of their respective realgm boards.

Totally. I enjoyed getting my hopes up during the LeBron rumors. Had it not been for them, we'd never really know what was going on (even if it wasn't accurate, we'd never know anyway)

How does that work? They have to prove to the mods they are legit?
Is that even possible without some breaking news days before it becomes public?

I remember that guy a few months ago who, maybe 3 days prior, broke the news about Kidd leaving for Milwaukee. I believe the thread was shutdown and people bashed him. 3 days later everyone wants to be his friend

Agreed. I get the feeling that the numbers are done. It'll just depend on which contract EB would prefer (4 or 5 years).
Small things like options and stuff.

I bet it won't be a declining scale if he demands a player option for the final year. We'd rather force him to leave more on the table if he were to leave.

With few teams needing point guards, who would you ship him out for though? We'd have to get good assets in return. I was thinking last night about what teams could be trading partners and I just don't see it if we want to compete now.

Bucks, Kings, Lakers and possibly Detroit, Houston or Atlanta. The best deals out of those would probably be Sessions/Stauskas, expiring contracts plus a pick. With Atlanta, Teague/Millsap but that would be crazy with Millsap becoming a FA. No one on the other teams that they'd trade for him interests me.

And that Sacramento deal isn't equal value and would make us worse. Houston, Beverly, a pick and Ariza for Tucker and Bledsoe....nah, but Beverly would provide the D we would miss...still not nearly enough though.

Many people wanting to trade him don't go through the teams and find a deal that make real sense. Indy has nothing but could use him.

We can't trade him until mid season though if they finalize a deal anyway.

Well it's hard as a fan to come up with trades because we clearly don't know what other Franchises are looking for or planning. But based on talent alone Bledsoe should be able to net a positive return, especially if he is on a reasonable contract.

Milwaukee, Minnesota, Detroit obviously have been talked about. Chicago may be interested as a potential backup plan for Rose or a tandem guard lineup. Something around Taj Gibson potentially. Or Brooklynn if they are desperate to unload Lopez( I know I know).

Not sure I haven't given it much though.

I am not sure why this is necessary. Proof will be demonstrated in time. Meanwhile, it doesn't jibe to me. But I am not going to rip on him.

About damn time. Seriously, why wait until now? They should have been meeting with Phoenix during the entire Summer.

Well with that, there's no way they make the trip unless he's signing something.

I always find it easier to evaluate trades if I think about it as trading CONTRACTS and not players. The player himself is only one of the factors.

Yeah, I suppose. But he is free to negotiate whenever he wants.
