Now he wants the Suns to trade both lottery picks, 23 year old Len, 24 year old Knight, and I am assuming a sign and trade of Jon Leuer, for 30 year old Aldridge, two role playing guards, and the 29th pick. Yes, I certainly think it is a fantastic idea for a rebuilding, young team like the Suns to trade away two players in their early twenties, and two lottery picks for a 30 year old power forward. Absolutely. Because we all know that a Suns team led by Booker, Warren, Bledsoe, and Chandler is just one piece away from winning a championship. Ford's proposed trades are the definition of idiocy. Usually for all teams involved. It is embarrassing that a professional sports outlet publishes his work.

Chad Ford is trash. There I said it just in case anybody is confused. Aldridge can rot in San Antonio minus Duncan/Popovich who will likely retire in the offseason.

Let's all pile on Ford because all of our trade ideas are unanimously accepted by all that read them.

yeah I don't understand how that LMA deal makes any sense....the Spurs couldn't get it done with LMA, but for some reason we're supposed to trade all of our assets and put a WORSE team around him? wtf

Then I'll say it again. He has a job because every time he posts something idiotic or says something ridiculous on the radio people re-blog it, re-post it, and discuss it ad nauseam. That is why he has a job.

And because he has a lot of draft connections built up over the years and can provide probably more insight into what NBA GMs and scouts are saying/thinking than pretty much anyone else with the exception of 1 or 2 or a handful of writers at the most.

He obviously lacks credibility for changing his big boards years later and his personal opinions are extremely idiotic most of the time. He usually thinks almost every team should go for a rebuild every year. As for his trade ideas, I see idiotic ones thrown out there by many writers. But sometimes his errors regarding details are terrible too, like for the longest time in his mocks he said the Washington pick was top 10 protected.

And with David West and Duncan likely leaving, they should get rid of Aldridge, and replace in the frontcourt with the powerful Len/Leuer (the free agent) combo?

And of course SF is their last need.

Right, but none of that would matter if we didn't gobble up his b.s. like think mints. FWIW, I think GMs use him as a tool to distribute disinformation. His "big board" or whatever always closely resembles Givony's mock draft. In fact, all the mock drafts become awfully similar the closer we get to draft day.

Yes, but I think that is largely a result of them looking at each other's and not wanting to miss anything drastically when someone else got it right. If they both miss, less of a deal.

Soo.. I don't exactly know what this is. It made me confused. It is kinda sad if our ultimate goal is making playoffs.

I don't think it's sad; I think it's an honest and realistic goal. If he said that the ultimate goal this year was to make the win the NBA Championship, then you'd probably call him delusional, and rightfully so. We know where we are right now, the goal is to show improvement, continue to build our team, and come together as a championship contending team in the future.

Yeah, really sounds like he wants out. I'm sure his agent will be working real hard on that.

Of course the reasonable goal is to make playoffs IF the goal is for these couple of years. It just seemed weird to me. If that scheme is a recipe for playoffs, then what are u gonna do to reach next level?

I guess I'm just under the assumption that this diagram is for this year. But to reach the next level after the Watson Circle is the Pyramid of Wooden

I'd have one ready to unveil at the start of the playoffs too, in case they do make it...."One game at a time" "Focus" "Never give up" ending up with the championship.

Maybe unveil one prior to that when they clinch a spot "Move up to X seed", etc.

Once you reach one goal you immediately set another.

Nothing is good enough for you lol every prospect sucks, our front office sucks, our players suck, our coaches suck, everything to you is just awful. Suns fans are pessimistic but you're borderline existential.

I think he likes that "expect the worst but hope for the best" and that way you can never set yourself up for disappointment. I think deep down he is this small little flickering candle of optimism surrounded by vast darkness.

D-Book has also retweeted our "Program" that coach Watson shared. Let's hope if they can execute it.
