I check this board as i'm getting off work: No truth to the Porzingis rumors.

I check my phone at the gym: Phil says they are looking to trade into top 4

I get home: We've apparently talked to the knicks about it and there is a CHANCE we might.

oh my god please

I have to admit, I remember the summer i thought we were getting LeBron and how excited I was. I'm starting to get that excited again. McD...if you can hear me...please get this done. please

Yeah, Phil is losing it. Time for McDonough to act. Suns best card to play is to offer to eat Noah's entire deal as part of a Porzingis trade.

I'm also not worried about any injury concerns with Porzingis. This medical staff managed to fix Grant Hill, Penny, Nash, Shaq, Jermaine, Amare and keep them whole while they were here. Most of them rapidly fell apart after leaving.

If we get Porzingis... holy.

I would sell the farm for him. Booker and Zinger is an amazing core.
Do whatever it takes to get him, even the Miami picks.

TRUE!!!! Damn our fans would love the crap out of him and we'd have two legit future all stars. I'm getting way too excited.

If the celtics screw us over imma be so mad

if they trade 3 for Porzingis that means we lose out on both him and JJ. Please god let us have like a little bit of basketball luck

Bledsoe for top 10 pick, flip 4, top 10 pick, Bledsoe, bender for KP/Noah...that's a decent return for Ny

This is the correct answer. Ulis impressed the hell out of me last season. Maybe not a long term solution but seems to have all the makings of a consummate floor general that can get everyone on the same page. Plus his BFFness with Booker certainly doesn't hurt matters either.

I'd give Knight a month or two to try to regain some of his Bucks mojo. If he even just plays decently he'll restore some trade value. If he plays great you have a starting point guard for a couple years. Most of the time on the Suns he's played out of position as an undersized 2 guard.

I would give Knight time at the 1 as well - see if he can regain any of what he had that made him the 8th pick

Bledsoe is tricky - as yes, the last few years has been a great team player. But also two years left on the deal and if you can get Porzingis - you have really built your dynamic duo for the next 5-7 years and you have enough other picks left over - even if you lose a Miami or phoenix pick in 2018 - you are still set. Also can find role players to build around

If you take Noah - can you find a taker for Chandler? Do you renounce Len?

I would love to get Porzingis though - as that one guy wrote , Gerald B - this is what Ryan has been waiting for. Just will Ainge screw us

That's my fear.

If we see them take Jackson tomorrow right before us I think it portends poorly for our chances of landing KP.

It's an interesting situation, but it's not necessarily one that puts us at a disadvantage. What if Phil likes more than one player? What if Phil, dissatisfied with Boston's offer, makes a better one with us at the last minute? One could get pretty creative in constructing potential trades. And if we don't make one - hey. Just relax. I hope our trigger finger isn't *too* itchy.

No. Can't absorb cap space and I doubt NYK would want him in the east.

They can easily match salaries in a trade

Porzingis + Lee for Crowder + Bradley + pick 3 plus future 1's

IDK, we have the capspace to take on Noah, someone they really wont be able to dump on another team. The Knicks would also be sending him out of their conference AND division.

And who knows if Jackson is really Phils guy. I also like our young players and assets a hell of a lot more than what Boston is offering up. Seriously, who is their best young players? Smart? Brown? I dont even see Celtic fans offering them, i see names like Bradley and Crowder and Rozier being thrown around. Bledsoe/Warren/Chriss/Bender are all more valuable in my eyes.

Our best friend could be Gordon Hayward right now. If he's Boston bound they can't take on Noah's contract. They could try to send out Zeller and Crowder to create room but Noah is too much. Plus they may need to pay IT next year.

Also if JJ is gone they could still grab Tatum or a PG and Markkanen at 8.

He meant that they can't eat Noah's bad contract.

They can't take Noah which is what the Knicks want to shed.

Hayward or not they can't afford to eat Noah's contract. That is the Suns only real trump card, beyond having the best immediate help in Bledsoe.

darealjuice wrote:We're in a unique position compared to everyone that wants KP: We have the cap space and are willing to take on Noah's horrible contract. Boston has all the assets in the world, but they can't waste cap space after making the ECF last year, and the Knicks have to clear out terrible contracts if they want any flexibility in the future. Offer something along the lines of #4 + Bledsoe + TJ for KP + Noah with room to negotiate. They get JJ, a really good PG in Bledsoe, and a versatile forward in TJ all while losing Noah's mistake of a contract; we add a young star in Porzingis that fits our team like a glove.

Love the trade! Who plays SF if Warren is part of the trade?
