Re: Trade & FA Ideas & Discussion
I think when all is said and done, the FO will talk to Lebron and give him a list of trade offers and see which PG he would want to play with, and i think that Bledsoe will be the name at the top of his list.
The fact is Cleveland is getting crap offers for Irving, but they need to trade him, and wont get exactly what they want.

NBA HISTORY!
Think about that .
Not even close...at least we got a halfway decent year out him...when we are talking worst trades of all time, I'm thinking, while we are on the subject of Irving, the unprotected pick that netted Kyrie, and Baron Davis, for Mo Williams, who gave them 74 'meh' games and only 24 starts, who was then traded for Lamar Odom...yeah, now THAT's bad! At least Knight was a rising star at the time and thought to be on an upward trajectory. Mo Williams was 28 and only hitting 27% of his 3s at the time...
...and then there's the Harden trade, Barkley trade, Joe Johnson trade (last two we benefitted from, of course), so Knight doesn't come close, in my eyes. Shoot, the Dragic trade looks worse, IMO. Dragic may be better, but those two picks may be worth more than the one...you never know...
Don't forget the Steve Nash trade. That was highway robbery for us.
Until we traded the good pick out of the deal for Brandon Knight, that is.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

I won't be surprised if Cleveland waits until December and tries to do a Wiggins/Teague for Kyrie swap, or even pushes for a George Hill/DeAaron Fox package if the Kings are really interested.
Depends on how broken the relationship is. If Kyrie becomes a cancer and divides the locker room it is going to be tough to hold on to him for very long. They may not have the luxury of waiting.
It probably just depends on several factors, despite that. If they think a Wiggins/Teague offer is far better than any other offer, then it's worth the wait, even if he sits out. The east will be bad enough that LeBron and the rest of the supporting cast will still be fine. Derrick Rose kind of sucks, but at least they have a PG, and if he sucks too bad, you just play with shooters at 1 and 2, like Smith and Korver. I don't think waiting until Dec 15th is a big enough deal to take a significantly worse deal just to do it a couple of months earlier. But if they don't view much difference in the deals, they might do it.
Depends on the GM. If McD was the GM of that team, he would keep Kyrie as long as it took for him to get the deal he wanted. Kyrie would be kind of dumb to make that big of an issue of it. He already screwed them with his timing big time.

I agree. Teague and Wiggins is worth the wait.
Probably would be Kyrie and Frye for Teague and Wiggins. Actually though, if I am the Twolves, I think Wiggins and Teague is better than Irving/Frye or Irving/Shumpert

And they still had to eat $24 million of Nicholson's deal. They got out of that contract but they didn't need to be in it at all. Brooklyn is making some fairly shrewd moves this offseason considering what they have to work with. Crabbe is overpaid, but the net difference in keeping Nicholson who was worthless is $11 million a year, so that's not bad. They have Lin, Russell, Caris LeVert, RHJ and Crabbe so a pretty decent collection of guards and wings. They obviously will probably be able to sign a C for dirt cheap this summer at some point.

I don't think his agent would do that if Bledsoe likes Phx and Bron is leaving in a year. His agent knows, so we'll see.

Yeah, they might be, but I'm not sure how much money they have left. There still has to be fall out. I don't know what the Suns plan is with Len, but considering they didn't withdraw the QO they would probably match a small deal. I think Noel signing probably happens first, but Len would probably only get about half or maybe 60% of what Noel got depending. Noel may end up in the $12-$15 million per year range since the market for Cs has cooled so much.

Re: Trade & FA Ideas & Discussion
Wish there were a way the Lakers get Kyrie and Lonzo Ball comes to the Suns, I mean there is, but I doubt LA would do it
Then after we get Lonzo offer Nerlens a contact
(Warren or Chriss might have to get traded)
Ball
Book
JJ
Bender
Noel

Re: Trade & FA Ideas & Discussion
So our shooting guard situation is pretty slim with Knight out ...
Bledsoe / Ulis / James
Booker / Reed (DJJ / Milsap ??)
Neither DJJ or Milsap are viable shooting guards ... both have really poor shooting percentages.
Do the Suns use Reed in the second unit or do they go find a free agent SG ??

Re: Trade & FA Ideas & Discussion
If Lebron doesnt want Bledsoe in Cleveland because he MIGHT bolt next offseason, then he definitely is leaving next offseason. Sucks to be Cleveland. No wonder they want so much for Irving.

I think you roll with Reed, he was pretty impressive in Summer League.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Good point - if Bledsoe goes to the Cavs - good sign. If he doesn't, LeBron is gone

I don't think Knight was going to play anyway. I think Jackson will play 2 some when Booker sits. I think Reed will get a fair amount of minutes. He could probably handle all the minutes Booker sits, or close to it.

Re: Trade & FA Ideas & Discussion
I'd be hitting FA bargains right now.
Throw a 2yr offer at Ian Clark - championship experience, legit 3pt shooter and still young enough at 26yr.
If they want another vet voice to mop up minutes someone like Randy Foye could be useful, or another young-ish guy like Demetrius Jackson or a defence first guy like Ndour.
Of course they can always sign my unicorn KJ McDaniels
There are some solid names still out there:

SInce Brandon Knight is going to be out for quite a while now, I would think you guys have to keep Eric Bledsoe so I think you have to pull Bledsoe from trade talks.

It's been mentioned that Brandon Knight was not going to play any more. If they trade Bledsoe and a PG isn't coming back, they may be ready to run with Ulis. I don't think they were going to put Knight in if they traded him. They are ready to let our young players play. That being said, I don't think we are going to trade Bledsoe, unless we somehow get back into the Kyrie talks, but it could be something like a 3 way deal where he and Melo go to NY and we end up with Ntilikina or something, and the Knicks also send a pick to Cleveland and NY ends up with Kyrie to play with Porzingis. NY is one of the four teams on his list.
