Not really.

Always stated that Goodwin ISNT a throw in, especially when you dont know what he is capable of.

But if the right deal comes along... heck most stars are available for the right price.

Curious, would you trade Goodwin to the Sixers to get the Lakers protected pick back?

Would I trade the number 29 pick in the first round for a lottery pick after three good games? Absolutely. Sell high.

Are you serious? Goodwin could not even get off the bench before Ronnie Price. Look how little he played all season until Bledsoe, Price, and then Knight went down. He barely played. He never played his first two years. Suddenly Hornacek is forced to play him and he has three straight 20 point games because he is finally getting real playing time.

Hornacek is a moron.

Goodwin wasn't close to being capable of putting up this type of production two years ago. And as I said before, management has as much to do with the benching as Jeff.

Curious, why do you say management had as much to do with that? Because they signed like 3 point guards last year and two the year prior and this year, or are you insinuating there is more to it than that?

I'm not insinuating, I'm telling you, that minute allocation is not solely left to the coaching staff.

Big call but...
If Goodwin and Booker start for the rest of the season at 30 plus minutes a game. They both wiil combine for with averages of 40ppg 10apg 10rpg.

Same numbers as Bledso and Knight but at 4 million dollars combined.

Archie looked great tonight. Easily his best quarter of his career.

You do have to take the competition into account though. The tanking Suns were playing a D-league level team.

Yes, Archie has made improvements, but let's remember it was against a historically bad NBA team.

As for his game against the Kings. That game was a meaningless end of season game.

Just keeping things in perspective.

The biggest change is him shooting with confidence and looking to pass. Huge improvements each way.

That would mean Curry and any stars should be scoring 50 a game against 76ers every time they play each other.

Yeah, I almost posted something similar in response to Mullholland Drive's post about bad players not scoring 18 pts in a qtr. I don't think Archie is a bad player, but I don't think we should make too many judgements just after one quarter or a couple of games.

I will be very happy if that comes to fruition. Though I don't even know how many teams have two guys (one of which isn't a superstar) scoring a combined 40 pts on avg. Would love to see it though and always think optimism is good.

Also, that price tag wouldn't stay there very long. If that remained, Archie would get max as soon as he hits RFA.

To the guy that brought up Archie Goodwin 1 year at Kentucky you do realize that Noel tore his ACL and Ryan Harrow meltdown forced Goodwin to take on a bigger role he wasn't even used to. He was literally the only offensive guy on that team

I know we're bad but we should at least be able to beat the Sixers, I look at that roster and its D-league. We have more talent on our roster by a large margin yet we've lost TWICE to the lowly Sixers, unbelievable.

Yes, I knew Noel was out so that team was not likely to be really top tier, but they are always flush full of the most talented prospects, so Archie, as a top tier prospect at that point, imo, if he was really that good at the time, should have at a bare minimum got them into the tourney, or at least do something in the NIT.

He's looking good now, but we don't know. I will be happy to be wrong that he isn't going to be a premier player.

Sooo, we lost to the Sixers again. At this point I'm masochistically enjoying our misery. The brightest point: 7 asissts, 0 TOs in 36 mins by Booker. Take that, Brandon Knight! And Eric Bledsoe!

Weems disappears again and Goodwin takes his/Price's minutes.

96 minutes at PG/SG

Knight 32
Booker 30
Goodwin 28
Weems/Price/Brown mop-up duty

Assuming Warren and Tucker stay out of the SG slot and Booker plays a couple mins as small-ball 3 as well.

Would anyone do

Knight + Leuer
for
Noah + Portis

?

CHI would have to do that wouldn't they? Knight would be ideal as starting SG with Butler shifting to the 3, while BK covers PG for all the games Rose misses as well. We either hold onto Noah and try to re-build and get something out of him or he just expires. I could see him signing on for a cheap 1 year to get healthy and then re-up when the $ goes up again.

We get a legit young stud PF to groom as a long term starter. He reminds me a LOT of young Millsap.

I think most Suns fans would do it but it depends on how much the Bulls value Portis.

Since we are taking back Noah which I assume is a financial burden to the Bulls and a talented yet unproven forward in Portis and trading a needed although expensive scorer in Knight and a reliable forward I would probably ask for a pick as well. The Bulls want to compete now so who knows? Stranger things have happened. And greed is good, they say. Ah, rosterbation ;-)
