Why does everyone hate Bledsoe?

I don't hate him but he should be on different team. He is 27 and while it's not that old with his injuries history and aggressive playstyle I don't see him aging well. And he will be looking for huge 4 years contract soon. Paying lots of money for 30+ injury prone player is not good. He is not good shooter, playmaker or defender. Don't fit with Booker.
He should be 2nd/3rd option on win-now team.

I should also note that this should spell the end of McD. No wins, no FAs. As much as I've liked some of his moves, it may be time for him to move on. We've been in this holding pattern too long. Literally no progress other than picks at this point. We win less games last year than the year he joined. He can still pull it out this summer, but it's not looking good.

I guess you liked Suns roster when he joined more than the current roster?

LeBron isn't recruiting for Cavs, he's going to Bledsoe wedding. Maybe Bledsoe convinces him to join the Suns next off-season.
Just kidding... LeBron doesn't fit our timeline.

No easy rings for him in Cleveland anymore. He is leaving them but for who? Any east team he would join will make the finals but couldn't compete with Warriors. Will he go west? If he does then conferences really needs to be removed.

True, he's an RFA though so probably a big offer that will lock him up quick will do the trick before NYK woos him.

But yeah, as per Gambo, offer could be 24/4 so that's good for us. Pretty sure he's worth more in the open market though.

He may end up doing what Ainge did and sit on all the assets. We'll see in the near future what Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum end up being, but it's hard to think they'll be better than a Jimmy Butler, or Paul George, or even Boogie Cousins. I'm not against trading future first round picks for top 15 players, and I think Ainge got gun shy and was trying to ride the fence for too long. In the end, he failed to land a significant player but maybe the draft picks will turn to gold.

I'm not against getting a new GM. He likely won't fall in love with the team that is already assembled since he didn't build it. Which means he may be able to pull the trigger on a trade that lands us a disgruntled superstar even if it means trading a young player or two. Only problem is now, there are no disgruntled superstars left. They all have been traded, and now the West is stacked more than ever.

Basically we only have one option now and that is to just put all our faith into the young guys and hope they develop into all-stars.

Bledsoe will be up for quite the bump when it's his turn.

With the Suns under the cap, can Eric's contract be extended right now? I've heard it can..and it can't be. Westbrook last year kind of thing?

I'm still on the "We should probably cash in/move on from Bledsoe" train (yikes that's a long name)...But! Since Ulis emerged as a legit NBA playmaker, who can easily provide 18-20 minutes of solid PG duty, and the drafting of Jackson with his likely playmaking prowess (eventually) ...I'm at least considering a switch of tracks..er? Trains. Open to a long term EB run. And especially if they could hammer out a good for both parties extension now or relatively soon.

There's also Bender's potential as a playmaker that would help convert me. God! I hope he gets a consistent 15 to 20 minutes early on.

Bledsoe is eligible for renegotiation and extension after Sepember 24th (third anniversary after his contract was signed). We can add up to 3 additional years to his current contract.

Doubt he (Rich Paul) would do it, but would we feel better if Bledsoe's 30/2yrs changed to 92/4 or 66/3 in October? A better trade asset after reneg? More comfortable building with/around after a new contract? But yeah, "they" probably want the sun and moon, so...

Very possible. But at the same time, money talks. That extra, what 40mil? His agent would be crazy to turn that extra cash down. Easy to convince Blake to stay with the Clippers, his family is already there, he doesn't have to move, etc.
