Watching Mikal's shot. He lines up on his left eye. That is interesting. It is an indication that he is right handed and left-eye dominant. It is a difficult thing to overcome in shooting. But his form is pretty good for that condition. I would not mess with it at all. In fact, Mikal's shooting form is what Lonzo should imitate.

Mikal's shot looks smooth. Guys remember that the plays for Bridges in the full season will be a lot more complex than what we saw in SL so far. He's only gonna look better at the next level.

He lines up on his left eye, yet looks good doing it. That is actually quite amazing. Lonzo Ball should imitate Mikal's shot.

He's off center, but his shot is fluid and release point high. It's really really pretty, oddly.

Whether it takes days or weeks or months for the org to realise, it's going to happen- Mikal will eat into JJ's minutes if we're interested in winning. Equation is simple: we need shooting. One guy can shoot, the other guy can't.

Tough pill to swallow because I love the energy JJ brings. But if we're gunning for an 8th seed Mikal needs to play over JJ.

I agree. I'd start him over TJ and JJ. JJ better learn how to play Point Forward in the mode of a Rondo or Simmons. Someone who can't shoot but do other things well and still need to be on the court.

It will be interesting to see who wins out in all of this. Ariza's presence should not impact any personnel decisions. He is a one-year rental and will not be here long-term.

With JJ, TJ, and Mikal, I would think all of those might spend some time getting what were traditionally pf minutes. But it does give us a trade options to balance the roster. I am just not sure what the object would be.

We cannot forget that JJ has a great handle for a 6-8 player, he is unstoppable as a one man fast break, and he is a very good passer.

Well, unstoppable unless there are 3 or 4 defenders waiting for him that is. He is good at picking people and getting an easy one some times though.

Those guys are very methodical though. I think JJ would be more of a Russell Westbrook type PF who can be out of control and make bad decisions but also create havoc and put up some big time numbers. Of course these are huge jumps...but that's who game I could see him emulating a bit more than some of those other guys. You'd just want to make sure he hit guys like Mikal, Devin, Davon, etc, for wide open 3s as much as possible as opposed to finishing himself unless he had a clean layup/dunk.

But he's a long ways off from being a point type guy.

I'm very high on Bridges and I think it was a very shrewd move to grab someone whose age lines right up with our core yet his salary impact lines up totally differently. So hopefully in a couple of years he's starting to approach his prime along with (fingers crossed) Bender/Chriss, but we don't have to start paying him like someone in his prime until a couple years after that.

If those numbers end up being true McD is brilliant. 36% from Ayton would make him an incredible force.
