You are an Arizona fan and don't remember Bret playing? Must be young.
I made sure to say 'Bear Down Arizona!' at the end of our broadcast. That was for Wildcat Nation. -NBC Anchor Brian Williams

Maybe I just forgot. Sounds familiar, but don't recall seeing him play.

He was a bench guy. Hard worker, set great screens tough kid. You are right he is an up and coming coach.

Ariza hated it and was checked out....same with Chandler. I get the sense these guys don't like playing with Book. We have no two was players other than Bridges, and maybe Holmes, but this is a rookie and a backup. Our oldest starter was 22 or 23 for much of the year.
The Kings look pretty young to me, but are winning. There is just no excuse for 17 loses and counting. Talent is there, a good coach will untap it. Ayton with 8 shots now. Great.

Well they have like 6 players between the ages of 26-30, or basically in their primes. We have none. Their only two real rotation players under 25 are Fox and Bagley.
But probably the primary reason they have finally progressed is after having 6 coaches in 5 years, they finally stuck with Joerger for a 3rd year, despite having poor seasons in his first two. They also had a bit of roster turnover with the Boogie trade and a couple of vets that didn't help much last year.
They finally brought back the same core and brought back a coach and have some continuity and a bunch of players in the primes of their careers.

We can't keep replacing people and hoping for saviors. We need our players to find out how to win with what we have, including Koko and his system. We've seen moments of success, a 5 game winning streak, and competitive games against a team like GSW to give him another year.
1. Keep Koko.
2. See where the draft lands, be completely open to keeping it or trading it, not commit early to one or the other.
3. Someone find a gag and put it over Sarver.
4. Everyone find your balls, put your heads down and make the right plays with the right effort. Respect is earned, not given.
5. Get TJ Warren back and feed Ayton more.

Re: Will Koko be our coach next year?
I haven't been nearly as impressed or as happy with Igor's performance as earlier in the season. It is part of his job to make his team play better, be competitive and if his system doesn't fit this team then it's less about him, less about the players and more about the front office who thought this would be a fit when considering the roster/style of play. That being said I still don't think he should be fired and I still do believe that his system works and it's a matter of the team growing up and figuring out how to play in the NBA. It's season 1 with Igor and more often than not, teams go through growing pains early before figuring it out later on.
As BW mentioned, the Kings stuck with Joeger even though they weren't very good and had more vets on the team to establish his system. The Sixers went through the same thing with a bunch of super young players who just don't know how to win and no real vets to carry them either. Not saying that we'll see the same thing with Igor necessarily but we won't know unless we give it a chance.

Gambo saying on the radio that he wouldn't be surprised at all if Kokoskov is fired before the end of the season.

That would be awesome, the endless spiral of inconsistency, which has lead to worse and worse seasons.

It was a pretty long segment...Seems like he is basing it off some inside info without directly saying so. If it is going to happen it will be tonight or tomorrow since they don’t play till Friday. If not for all the strange moves they have made, most recently with timing of McD and Watson, it’s hard to argue it would be a stupid move with how horrible the team looks. This suns have never looked worse and Ayton is being terribly under utilized on Offense. The organization is in shambles and Koko is certainly not the only problem, but he doesn’t seem to be helping either. Wonder if Sarver tries to bring in Majerle, not sure if he’d be interested which says a lot about this franchise.
Firing another coach would look terrible, but can the perception really get any worse for this franchise? At least it would show Sarver isn’t too cheap to pay yet another coach/gm to stay home.

He finally got a tech in the Atlanta game, but when it was way too late and the game was still in reach. It was perplexing unless he's been instructed to lose at all costs.
Igor, you take the techs EARLY in the game, not in the final few minutes.

Majerle would hang up the phone. Sarver burned that bridge years ago, like every other **** bridge around.

Well, it that was seriously considered I am happy that we won the game and stopped the big losing streak because I prefer to end the season with Kokoskov.
There are 20 games left yet, that is 1/4 of the season, so there is enough time to build something good that we can carry over into the next season.
What if we end the season with a 10W-10L record and playing better basketball?
That would change our perception about Kokoskov and some of our core young players.
I am not a big Kokoskov fan, but we need to give him at least the full season and see how it plays out.

Usually teams overachive with a new coach, so 10-10 is more likely if Igor is fired.
Doesn't really matter, the answer of the question in the title is now pretty much clear IMO. Let's hope the team shows better results with the next coach and they keep him for longer.

It would be such a Sarver move to fire Igor then hire Crawford as HC for next season...

Re: Will Koko be our coach next year?
I like his talk about Woj...basically saying he doesn't have a clue and we have over 10 scouts and this week they are at Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, Murray St, and how important this draft is, etc....and then maybe a shot at McD about how they are changing things up because "we hadn't had a lot of success scouting the draft in the past".
