^this. If it looks out of reach, bring out the white flag and rest the starters.
Every team in the league is gonna have a few games like this. On to the next one.
I would maybe play Booker extended mins even through a blowout. Let him to get out of this awful funk that he’s been this season. If he can get al his turnovers and dumb plays out of the way in this game then this loss isn’t bad at all.
I don't think they will intentionally pack it in too quickly. I think the team is resilient, though if they continue to be cold from 3, it will be tough.
Just need to win each quarter by 10+.
Plenty of teams have won quarters by 20+ though.
If we are down 25+ with under 8 minutes to go though, I'd maybe go more to the deep bench. Or at least rest Paul and Booker. I would let Ayton get some more run and some of the cold 3 pt shooters so they can get out of their funk before the end of the gam and not let it get into their heads like it did with Oubre.
But we could play some of our deep guard rotation, some Frank, etc.
It’s just a bad combination of us being cold after being hot the last few games and the Clippers being hot after being cold their last few games.
I’d keep Booker in. He needs to get his head out of his ass and I think he’s out of shape too (this is why he can’t get any separation and keeps needing to shove players off to get a decent look). Let him keep running up and down so that he can work himself back into shape and gain some rhythm. Bridges should be pulled early, he plays a ton of mins for us this season and 35 yr old CP3 as well if we’re still down 20+ by the end of the 3rd qtr.
