Also would do the aforementioned Booker deal if they add in Jalen/Cam/Eason as well.

I think it's happens 1 way or another.

Booker KD to Rockets I'm OK with also

But does the new rule allow this since Suns are 2nd Apron team.

I think so. Since the Rockets are taking on XT money. The only reason why I say trade Booker is we get more for him and we take 1 final shot at this with KD/Beal along with more depth acquired from the Booker deal. If(when) that fails, we can still trade KD for stuff.

I guess that whole theory works if we move KD, but the duel SG thing is awful to watch and I think our offense will flow better with an actual PG playing next to either Beal or Booker....and since no one is taking Beal off our hands....that makes it easier lol.

Knicks are gonna be a fun team. Too bad their fanbase is so scummy.

The difference between a top-tier front office and legit GM, and our low-tier/low-hanging fruit of a clown show front office!! :banghead:

And our front office will do as they always do and just sit on KD until his trade value is almost neutral due to age/ contract ending. And then we'll get next to no value for him while having no legitimate chance to actually beat the top-tier teams.

Couldn't be happier for the guy. He gets to go to a competitive team full of his old Villanova team mates and on one of the biggest stages in basketball. Good for him

So many of you want to gut the team. Suns don't have their picks anyway, so tanking doesn't make any sense.
I don't understand how the Rockets are involved in this Bridges thing though. How would the Rockets have gotten the Suns picks?

Oh never mind....

I'd love for that trade to happen, but it's too lobsided in favor of the Suns. We're basically swapping Nurkic for Smart straight up which is highway robbery IMO.

Also, no way the Jazz do this without our '31. We'd basically be swapping Little for Kessler as the picks cancel each other out.

I just think giving up the 2031 pick for Walker Effing Kessler is stupid

What about a restructuring of the trade Qwigglez posted?

Suns get :
Marcus Osmond Smart
Walker Effing Kessler
#39

Jazz get:
Nassir Shamai Little
#22
31' pick top 5 protected

Memphis gets:
Jusuf Nurkić (who doesn't have a middle name apparently)
#29
#32
Future second rounder (Boston)

And why do the Rockets want KD so bad? They can have Beal for FVV.

These deals seem pretty light for Memphis and arent legal anyway.

Smart only played 20 games this season. Memphis makes out like bandits IMO.

How in the world someone can hear what KD says and think that he wants to be traded?

KD loves the team and it's is more possible that we extend his contract for another year in this offseason.

Enticing trades the Suns could make to move down from pick 22
by Brendan Mau

Minnesota Timberwolves: picks No. 27 and No. 37
Denver Nuggets: picks No. 28 and No. 56
Utah Jazz: picks No. 29 and No. 32
New York Knicks: picks No. 24, No. 25 and No. 38
San Antonio Spurs: picks No. 35 and No. 48
Indiana Pacers: picks No. 36, No. 49 and No. 50
Washington Wizards: picks No. 26 and No. 51
Boston Celtics: picks No. 30 and No. 54
Memphis Grizzlies: picks No. 39 and No. 47
Portland Trail Blazers: picks No. 34 and No. 40

Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro reported today that the Suns were having discussions with the Jazz about trading down for No. 29 and 32. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony has reported that Utah is said to be active in trade talks surrounding these two selections.

In his latest mock draft, The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie has the Suns first trading back with the New York Knicks for No. 25 and No. 38 and then moving out of the first round completely, trading No. 25 to Portland for Nos. 34 and 40. In the end, the Suns walk away with three picks: UC Santa Barbara point guard Ajay Mitchell (at 34), UCLA big Adem Bona (at 38), and Arizona forward Pelle Larsson (at 40).

Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes suggests that the Suns trade down with the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow night for No. 27 and 37, which appears the most beneficial for both sides on this list.

Any trade done with New York would need to be a 3-team trade in which the Knicks can offload Mitchell and/or Randle in order to cut payroll so they can resign Hartenstein and also extend Anunoby too! So we'd have to help facilitate that move to a team with significant cap space and in return, we could probably get a couple of picks back!!

Teams that need a starting center and have cap space are on a short list! what comes to mind for me is...........................
Charlotte, Orlando, Detroit, Chicago, Philly, Washington, Memphis. Of those teams, For trades, I'd look at:

1- Detroit: (Detroit /New York/ Phoenix)

Detroit- Nurkic/ PHX 2031 1st (top 4 protected).
New York- 53rd pick/ BOS 28' 2nd (cap space).
Phoenix- Mitchell Robinson/ Marcus Sasser/ 24th and 38th picks.

2- Philly: (Philly/ New York/ Phoenix)

Philly- Nurkic/ PHX 2031 1st (top 4 protected)/ 25th pick.
New York- Cap space/ 41st pick/ BOS 28' 2nd.
Phoenix- Mitchell Robinson/ 24th pick and 38th picks.

3- San Antonio: (San Antonio/ New York/ Phoenix)

San Antonio- Nurkic/Little/ PHX 2031 1st (top 4 protected/ 25th pick/ BOS 28' 2nd.
New York- Cap space/ 34th pick and 48th pick.
Phoenix- Mitchell Robinson/ 24th pick and 38th picks.

4- Memphis: (Memphis/ New York/ Phoenix)

Memphis- Jusuf Nurkic/ PHX 2031 1st (top 4 protected)/ 25th pick/ BOS 28' 2nd.
New York- Cap space/ Kennard (**waived/ stretched)/ 39th and 57th picks.
Phoenix- Mitchell Robinson/ D- Rose/ 24th and 38th picks.

5- Chicago: (Chicago/ New York/ Phoenix)

Chicago- Mitchell Robinson/ Nassir Little/ PHX 2031 1st (top 4 protected)/ 25th pick/ BOS 28' 2nd.
New York- Cap space/ CHI 28' 2nd/ CHI 2030 2nd.
Phoenix- Torrey Craig/ 24th and 38th picks.

5- Washington: (Washington/ New York/ Phoenix)

Washington- Jusuf Nurkic/ Nassir Little/ PHX 2031 1st/ 25th pick/ BOS 28' 2nd.
New York- Landry Shamet ( 11 million non-guaranteed)/ 51st pick.
Phoenix- Mitchell Robinson/ Eugene Omoruyi/ 24th pick/ WAS 25' 2nd.

There is the thing called sarcasm. As for KD's words I wouldn't be surprised to find similar for Nets FO. Anyway, he's not going anywhere. If the experiment fails again this year after trying to balance out the roster then we can talk again.

Sure, trade KD to the Rockets for Amen+Jabari+picks. If they’re not coming close to those terms then no point engaging. We still have 2 top 10ish players who were both all nba and everyone wants to be back in the tank race…

That trade isn't allowed by the rules.

And Royce will earn way less money than Cam J.

Yes it’s allowed.. we can send out S&T, just can’t receive S&T

Ok, but Royce isn't getting $25M per year so that trade will not happen for sure.

Brooks will need to be in the deal for cap purposes, so you'd figure: Brooks/Smith/our picks/#3 for KD.

I'd think strongly about it personally, the addition of Brooks and Smith alone will change our D over night. Add in the #3 pick for Klingan as a Nurk replacement (or just trade Nurk now) plus we get our future back.....that's a good start and some young guys who complament Booker to keep him from wanting out in a yr or 2.

Not sure the math works

Gambo and Flex are shooting down Durant trades

Too bad - suns should listen

Flex doesn't know crap except what Booker's brother tells him.

Booker is obviously against trading KD for picks. He wants to win but it's unlikely the suns can go deep with such a messy structure.

Booker can go as well for all I care. I would ring Pistons and ask for Cade in a Booker trade. Sure start a new fresh rebuild around him.

Putting Kool Aid aside, the Suns as is, is 2 tiers below Celtics and a tier below Mavericks, Thunder, Nuggets, Wolves with NO room for improvement and No future. It's as bleak as it can get. The 3 All Stars only look good on paper.

Obviously it doesnt look rosey but I would wait and see what Budenholzer can do with this team.

Return to Phoenix Suns
