I guess Shams said on the Pat macafee show that a few teams are just a “piece away” from getting a deal done. Doesn’t think SA has been very active.

Not sure how much that means if it's a significant piece.

So Gambo must think Rudy Gobert or Julius Randle good options

I still think it will be the Rockets

On Tuesday’s episode of Sportsnet Today, NBA reporter Marc Stein joined Daniele Franceschi to break down Durant’s potential landing spots and what the Phoenix Suns hope to receive in return.

“They’re trying to get back as much as they can, and that’s why it’s been basically whispered to Team Durant that look, we’re not trying to send you somewhere you don’t want to go, but we gave up so much to get you, we’re duty-bound to try to get back as much as we can,” Stein said.

“Everyone dealing with the Suns knows they’re in a desperate situation, and teams like San Antonio and Houston are not interested in just giving them a haul.”

Smart by Spurs to look for young star. That's what our FO should've done two years ago too.

I think many have surmised that would be the deal for Durant

Suns get a strong center type in Gobert and a young PG
Donte just adds depth for when Allen is probably traded
Its not a bad trade - but it is for sure a trade more for this year than the future

We would need the #9/#11. You can have our second rounder.

Portland not trading any value for RJ, so they won’t be a pick 11 to take. They have Deni, Sharpe, and Camara already on the wings. An expiring Ayton they might give up for RJ but that is likely about it.

I would do Wutang's deal. We get a PG+C and the #9 pick?

I'll do that deal all day. Portland can have the #11 pick.

Suns do not need to include Ayton to get IQ, Poeltl and the 9th pick though

I could see that. Still question why Portland wants RJ at all though. To play him off the bench there? doesn’t seem like a good target for Portland at all. Sharpe going to get a big contract next season too.

Jake Fischer:

“I’ve also heard that Phoenix has done some background work on Kristaps Porzingis with Boston known to be exploring its trade options up and down the roster," he wrote.

"Sources say you can likewise add Phoenix to the list of teams that had been hoping to elbow its way into Myles Turner’s free agency this summer.”

Interesting. Porzingis is the type of modern C that could be a big upgrade for us at that position.

Most logical way to rebuild this team BUT Ishbia don’t care about being logical.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Only a fan of Arizona teams!

He also is extremely injury prone like Bradley Beal. We’re not doing this again. Might as well trade for Joel Embiid too.

That's a terrible take because under the CBA jersey sales are split between all 30 teams.

If Mavs tried trading Flagg, Adam Silver would definitely override it at this point. Probably the Texas governor, US President and hell maybe even president of the UN General Assembly would all get involved to stop it. And Nico Harrison would probably go missing and never found again.

I wish Houston and San Antonio had terrible owners who were doing the negotiations themselves like Ishbia’s doing.

Return to Phoenix Suns
