Count me in the Frye camp.

Oklahoma seems to hate Perkins' guts these days - so what about a little deal? :)

Gortat and Beasley out
Perkins / Jeremy Lamb / Perry Jones in

Suns:
Dragic+Telfair (Marshall+Garrett)
Brown+Dudley (Lamb)
Tucker+Johnson (Jones)
Morris+Scola (Zeller)
Perkins+O'Neal (Frye)

Thunder
Westbrook+Maynor
Sefolosha+Martin
Durant+Beasley
Ibaka+Collison
Gortat+Thabeet

Thunder (in theory) get better at the C position, while the Suns get some low-risk young players and get rid of a disgruntled Gortat and the Superbeas...
Prediction for this season: Spurs beat Heat 4:2 in the finals (the revenge of Pop)
I don't like it, but it is highly possible this season with IND and OKC struggling

Actually, I agree with that. Frye's not the answer for this team but he's a hell of a lot better than Beasley. And while he'll turn 30 in May, he's still younger than JO too. His contract is definitely not as urgent as Beasley.

lol and the sad thing is he's probably the 3rd best player on this team after Dragic and Gortat

I hate Beasley as much as anyone, but I'd rather keep him and just stick him on the end of the bench (or waive him and eat his contract) than have to diminish Gortat's value by packaging them together.

Phoenix Suns Practice Report: Working Hard On A Day Off
By Kristofer Habbas on Dec 10, 6:22p

"Babby would not quantify the teams interest level in making a move, but one thing he did state is that he does not want to wait until the trade deadline to make a move. The team would prefer to pull the trigger on a move sooner if there is a trade to make. The team is listening to inquiries and making calls however to gauge interest in potential moves with the current assets they have."

When does Frye's contract end anyway? He should have much longer left.

I'm not super high on him but he seems to love being in Phoenix and his contract is not that bad.

Avery Bradley is a guy who plays tough with no BS...

Just sayin.

Oh and Frye has a player option after this season which he'd be crazy to not accept.

The player option is after next season so it's 2 more years after this current season. However if he can't return the Suns would get a medical waiver.

1. 2013 first round picks
2. Medical staff
3. Gortat ( but only for late picks or scrubs )

I don't see that the Suns need to include Frye in any trade whatsoever. He's an above average defender and offensive player. Not great but he doesn't hurt your team. The big question mark is will he ever play in the NBA again??? If he is not ready by mid-April the Suns can request a medical waiver as he has not played in over a year. If the NBA grants the waiver then the Suns eat the salary (probably insured though) and it doesn't count against the cap. More cap room in 2013!!

We dont need to include Frye, but from what the Boston insider said, we were trying to push Frye in any Gortat trade. We dont need to, but we want to. The question now is, would we rather package in Frye with Gortat, or package in Measley Beasley? Both take Gortats value down in a trade, but the only teams that are looking at him really dont have that much to offer in the 1st place, thus us lowing his value with a package isnt that big of a deal.

Can't see Frye being included as it forces out two of Terry/Lee/Bass/Green.

Let's hope it doesn't get forgotten that we are in rebuild mode and want YOUNG pieces or picks for Gortat.

Yeah I'm not understanding the roll either.

Ellis is basically a more consistent, more "on" Brown.

Not a guy who will lead you anywhere.

Again....getting Dragic was one of the few things this FO has done in the past few seasons, so getting another ball-dominant player to take away his touches does not make any sense to me.

There are 2 players that I pray our FO doesn't target in free-agency. They are Monta Ellis and Tyreke Evans. Both are undersized chuckers, who play no defense, and have extremely hot/cold streaks. No thanks.

Oh I would do this trade in a heartbeat.

If Dragic can become a stout defender, then this solves most of our problems. Dragic would just have to guard the bigger SGs of the league.
