Yeah, saw Lance turned down $9 million a year. The Lakers could give him a big short offer, but I don't know if he'd want just two years.

If we decided to go really young with a stretch four, we could do for this AZ guy...who was fairly clutch at times in frosh year at AZ when he got to play. We could probably get him REALLY cheap though.

Grant Jerrett

Measurements: Jerrett - 6'10 (7'2 wingspan), 232 lbs

2013-14 Summary: Jerrett spent 2013-14 in the D-League, where he put up respectable numbers, shooting 36.4% from deep and averaged 15 pts and 6 rbds per game.

Player Profile: Jerrett is a young, prototypical stretch 4. Jerrett just turned 20, has a legitimate outside shot, though the mechanics of Jerrett's shot are...unconventional. Jerrett, is likely a decent long term prospect - he's a better athlete, younger, and possesses a little bit stronger of a frame (if a bit smaller).

Suns Fit: He would project as direct a replacement for Channing Frye's skill set, but is not likely to be able to step right in and fill in for Channing. He would provide an outside shooting touch and an ability to stretch the defense, something that is often necessary with the Suns' two-point guard style.

I edited the post a bit to remove the stuff about Ryan Kelly. http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2014/ ... ree-agency

What about this guy as a reserve center if we don't get big names? From same article...another potential cheap option....10.5 boards per 36..not bad.

Gustavo Ayon, C

Measurements: 6'10, 240 lbs

2013-14 Summary: Ayon put in another quiet but solid season with Atlanta.

Totals Per 36 Minutes Per 36 Minutes Shooting
Rk Player Ht Season Age Tm Lg G GS MP FG FGA 2P 2PA 3P 3PA FT FTA ORB DRB TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS FG% 2P% 3P% FT% WS
1 Gustavo Ayon 6-10 2013-14 28 ATL NBA 26 14 429 4.4 8.6 4.4 8.6 0.0 0.0 0.7 1.7 3.5 7.0 10.5 2.3 2.1 0.8 2.4 3.9 9.4 .510 .510 .400 0.7
Data courtesy Basketball-Reference.com.
He suffered an injury that limited him to just 26 games (in tandem with an unwillingness by the team to use him), and is considering returning to play in Europe.

Player Profile: Ayon is not a flashy player - he is the epitome of a bench player. He doesn't have a dominant skillset, but is a fairly efficient scorer, a more than passable rebounder, a decent man to man defender and a willing and capable passer out of the high post. At 28, Ayon is what he is - a reserve big man. But he brings a unique amount of experience as the driving force behind the Mexican national team and a player who has played in Europe and bounced around the NBA for a few years.

Suns Fit: The Suns have a hole at the center position (SLAVA!!!!) that will likely be filled and should be filled. The two guys currently on the roster have 3 NBA seasons between them. Ayon would provide a veteran presence for the bench that might be lacking if we lose Tucker and/or Frye.

When you find a tweet, right click on the date or time of it and copy link location. Then you click the Tweet button on RealGM and paste it in between. Sometimes you have to fix it though.

In order to get this one to work you have to remove the "es" from where it says statuses.

Sorry off topic but since we're talking about embedded tweets, does anyone else have issues seeing embedded tweets on the realgm phone app? Any time someone posts one it's just a blank post.

Orlando Magic have agreed to terms with free-agent guard Ben Gordon, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The two-year agreement will be worth $9 million.

I think Orlando will not make an offer to Bledsoe. Gordon can be his assurance if Oladipo/Payton need a veteran pressence and way cheaper than Afflalo or Nelson.

OT: I know it is kind of morbid, but how do you know when a poster has died? If he isn't a mod or personal friends with someone on the board, then they just die and stop posting. No one would know to acknowledge him and bid him an appropriate farewell, kinda like we do when a player leaves the Suns. Kinda sad, because I like you guys.

Funny how a sports teams create an automatic bond with people you have never met before.

I created a facebook page for another forum I post in. We have like 40-50 current/former posters there. You can always click their pages to get a good idea.
Not the most convenient but if you think someone has passed, it's not the worst way to research.

This is the reason why not hearing Bledsoe's name in rumors doesn't make me feel like we'll be OK. A team from out of nowhere could come in like this.

I guess this means Cleveland has given up pursuit of LeBron (smart).

I want DeAndre Jordan. No chance Clippers dealt him unless they got LeBron. But he's what we need. Athletic defensive rim protector who can rebound.

Lol, I know its painful handling anything with Broussard. He was also the guy that said Lebron to the Knicks was a lock.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Interesting. I just click on "Details" when I find the tweet and it opens a full page of the tweet and copy the link of that page and post it in between the tweet brackets. Works every time. Not doing it from a phone though.

Philly needs to not deal with Houston. Word is that they are the team thats willing to take on Lin and they would run him at SG, a position that they are lacking in.

I think they should throw a Max at Stephenson. That would make for one hell of a young and exciting team.

The more names are taken off the board, the happier I become, because the more our choices narrow to my two favorite options: LeBron, and no one.

About Gustavo Ayon...I think he can be a 12th or 13th guy on an NBA roster at best, no upside and just only a decent overall big man. I prefer other options.

http://hoopshype.com/twitter/media.html

Then i just right click, copy link location on the time at the right side of the tweet. Simple.

Good. Figured they'd want a short term vet and possibly combo guard behind Payton and Oladipo.
