Here's my take

You need as many talented basketball players on the floor. Chemistry matters just as much but talent ultimately wins championships not feel good stories of players liking each other.

markieff is a pretty talented basketball player. Let Chandler groom him and get him to mature.

Markieff helps this team win more games now that his cancer of a brother is gone.

We're not a bad team and we're not a great team. we're either below average, average, or solid.

We're 1 star away from contending. We needed Aldridge but who knows maybe Paul George gets discontent in Indiana and we make a move for him and swing some young assets like Warren and Goodwin and picks for him.

Or Devin Booker, TJ Warren, or Len develop inot a bonafide star.

You can Book Booker as the 2nd option guy....My favorite Sun.

My take is that the FO and Markieff + his agent had a sit down. Or atleast the agent and the FO.

Basically, no "good" teams wants to trade for him due to him being perceived as unstable or a bad seed due to his media outbursts.
A couple of bad teams are offering peanuts and those teams are at a worse situation than the Suns...

Basically, Markieff needs to rebuild his reputation to attract teams he prefers to raise interest on him again.

PLUS, Markieff is indeed "OK" with the players.

I really like what Markieff has said.We are in a better position today that we were yesterday in my opinion.

What has happened to Markieff ? There are two options ....
1. McDonough probably has promised him to trade him before the season starts if he says great things today. With those comments we gain some leverage and we can trade him for better value.
OR
2. He had a change of heart and he really wants to play here. If he wants to play for us and be a professional (something that I doubt) I want him on my team if we can not trade him for good value.

Everytime I see Bledsoe's arms I'm reminded why he struggles shooting the ball.

Does anyone think Chandler has been a big influence in getting Kieff to right the ship or at least "play the game: ?

Didn't Kieff just report to Suns camp today morning? So means he met Chandler for the first time today?

Even if Kieff is lying, acting professional is helping us. A good thing to see for everyone besides letsgosuns lol.

I wouldn't rule out Chandler calling him and going over the situation.

Frankly, I think for the most part, Markieff has acted pretty professionally most of the time, and the only time it started to get a little bad was stuff that Marcus initiated, like the Hornacek thing or the fight, or even ripping the fans. After Marcus ripped the fans, Markieff more eloquently said what was on his mind, how it's nice to have louder fans, etc.

Marcus did most of the bad tweets. Markieff did say "That's a foul game, lol" which didn't seem like a big deal to me, and basically something like "I don't think my future is in Phoenix" but it just doesn't seem to me like it's nearly as big of a deal as some people make it out to be.

Is he a likable player? That's certainly debatable, as he is a hothead at times and does get the Ts.

He's certainly not my favorite player, but those who think we would be just as good with PJ and Telly playing all the minutes at the 4 are kidding themselves.

I just can't believe how mad some people seem to be about him being on the team. I seriously only come close to getting that worked up if my team loses a crucial game (usually football since individual games are more crucial) but tourney games in college or Suns playoff games....or must win games down the stretch.

Kieff ripped the fans.
Kieff texted that his future was not in Phoenix
Kieff told the Philly reporter that he was not coming back.

Not going to sugar-coat this and blame it all on his brother.
I will say that it is just words. He showed up, and he is now saying the right things. If he plays well, I don't really care. He will never be a favorite of mine. I just want whats best for the Suns.

Return to Phoenix Suns
