Poetl is gunna end up being what Len was supposed to, Ellenson's lack of footspeed/rim protection and porous post defense will neutralize the mismatches he creates as a floor spacing center because he won't cut it at PF.

I wouldn't totally mind Poetl at 13, but he won't be there. Ellenson is going to be better imo.

You seem to have a one track mind. Hield or I think Murray? For the Suns? No one else you like? Do you study anyone else or really care about the Suns and their real needs all that much?

I just don't like Poeltl. Nothing special. Ellenson is superior imo. I would be fine with Ellenson/Chriss/Skal at 13.

Some interesting rumors on draft promises and medical issues on basketball insiders. Tyler Ulis is supposedly red flagged for a significant hip issue that may require surgery, Denzel Valentine has knee issues and was compared to Danny Granger by some teams in terms of future knee damage, Celtics are eyeing Brown, Murray, or Chriss if they keep their pick (probably smoke knowing Ainge), Malachi Richardson may have a promise in the late teens, Sabonis may have a promise in the top 12, plenty of international guys have "promises", etc.

Please, dear old gods, new gods, drowned gods, many faced god, Lord of Light, let it be June 24th already.

Boston not even considering Bender? Ainge has a pretty good eye for talent. Bender= Pass.

From everything i have read on Celtic's sites/blogs, They are Desperate for 3 point shooting. They have some great defensive guards. They have some good young defensive bigs. The area they fall off a cliff is shooters and more specifically 3 point shooters. IT is their best at 35%. They are losing their starting SG (Turner) in FA, and the only other SG on the roster is James Young, who is an awful 3 point shooter. Its the whole reason why you see them asking the guys in the workouts to shoot 100 3's for them. Word is they love Buddy, but know that #3 is most likely too high to draft him. He has certain advantages over Murray, but they are pretty damn close. I think when it all comes down to it, if they keep #3, they are drafting Murray. If they really think Hield is that much better for them, they trade down a few spots and most likely get him along with some sort of role player from the team that is trading up.

Its going to be either Murray or Hield for Boston.

This changes every two hours but as of now

4a.) Bender
4b.) Heild

13a) Ellenson
13b) Davis
13c) Sabonis
13d) Murray

Other picks I'll leave it up to my Scouts BG and Saint.

DraftExpress tend to get it very close by the final week.

They have Chriss @ 3, so I'd expect him to be a top 5 pick, which means we're well and truely in the mix.

He's really a McDonough prototype too.

Buddy Hield hit 85 / 100 3 pointers at a Celtics workout.

Watched a Brandon Ingram interview after workout, and he's much more mature and focused than my previous impression.

Nah, give me the day after when we know who we got. I don't think I can handle the speculation before and after each of the picks. There'll be like 50 theories about the guy we picked being a pick for another team for a trade for someone and all of it will be wild speculation. By the 24th I can get my Tormund eyes working on whoever will suiting up in orange and purple.

I've resigned myself to just wait and see and cheer for whoever we get. I'm not rooting for us to draft anyone. Let the chips fall where they may.

For the Buddy camp:

1) do you see him as a starter this upcoming season?
2) which position?
3) who of Bledsoe and Knight are being dealt? (Unless you think we keep both)
4a) do you want Buddy starting if it means Booker has to play majority SF?
4b) at the expense of Warren?
5) who are you taking at 13?
6) would you take Buddy over Bender/Dunn/Criss/Skal/Murray/Brown, assuming Simmons and Ingram are gone?

Not attacking Buddy fans as I like him, just not at 4 when we have so many more glaring holes to fill and basically there isn't a clear-cut path to minutes for him without some decent legwork from McD first.

To me there's just too many overlapping skills to warrant picking him, I do like his game however, but he won't be there at 13.
