Ullis did say Bender is banged up so fair play to him continuing to play. His all round great looks good apart from his shooting but that will come with time.

Looking forward to tonight game. Hope Chriss plays and that both Williams continue their good play.

Most impressive player?

Andrew Sharp: Remember when the NBA gave “Player of the Month” to the entire Hawks starting five? There was a time in my life when I thought that was corny and awful, but now I understand. The Summer Suns showed me the light. The Summer Suns are my Player of the Week.

Dragan Bender was bigger than expected and incredibly active. He projects well as a big man who can play either the four or five. Devin Booker was the best player in Las Vegas for the past week, so impressive that he was done playing by the time I arrived. Meanwhile, Tyler Ulis looked generally great at point guard, scoring, running the team and holding his own on defense. Marquese Chriss is house money if Bender matures over the next few years, and Chriss had his moments as well. Overall, the Suns had the most impressive rookie (Bender), most impressive sophomore (Booker) and the best second-round pick (Ulis). Don't talk to me this week if you‘re not talking about the Summer Suns.

Team you’re most excited about for the future?

Andrew Sharp: Three-way tie. The Timberwolves with Kris Dunn as the sidekick to Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns are the most exciting young team of Summer League 2016. The Suns with Devin Booker, Dragan Bender and next year’s lottery pick (in a point guard-rich draft) will be the most exciting team in 2017. In two years D’Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram will be older, stronger, worlds better and the 2018 Lakers will be the new team on the rise. Is it strange to think two and three years ahead? Definitely. But the first two weeks of July were all about the Warriors. This week is about who can beat them in 2019.

Another nice write up. We get to face the TWolves in a bit. Although I'm not sure how he says the TWolves are the most exciting young team of Summer League. They are the most exciting young team in the league, but I didn't think Wiggins or Towns even played, and Dunn only played a couple of games I thought.

Yeah, if Bender tweaked his ankle I'd be careful. That can linger a long time. Of course I'd like to see him play but I wouldn't want him to make it worse.

It would be nice if Chriss is back but last I heard he went home to Sacramento and was on antibiotics for whatever illness he has.

Tyus Jones has been a stud in summer league. He has 21, 8, 3 steals and 3 boards last night. Thursday he had 26, 10, and 4 rebounds on 9/15 shooting. The night before that he had 15, 9 and 2 steals. So averaging over the last three games over 20 pts and 9 assists.

Tyus Jones and Adreian Payne.

They were a super low seed coming in and have been upsetting people, so we'll see if they have it in them. Ulis vs Jones will be nice to see.

I hope Minny gets creamed today because it was complete BS how they won their last game. Rewarding that lame leg kickout crap with freethrows.

We can win this game, we are goint to start Ulis, Troy Williams and Alan Williams. Those are three NBA players IMO, the Wolves don't have a better roster if they are not playing Dunn.

I wouldn't give up. As good as Bender has been defending and doing the little things, a lot of shots were missed, so maybe we pick it up on that end. The Williams' bros are going to have to step up and Troy may have to start at PF, and then we just put shooters elsewhere.

I will be interested to see Ulis' defense on Tyus Jones.

Well they do have NBA player Payne, who went 20 and 7 against the Spurs and 19 and 10 in the last one hitting a couple of threes in each of them, but I think we can take it if our guys bring it.

I think our bench is very weak, and Ulis must be really tired.
