I think we can go to the finals from losers bracket but I'm not sure.

I think Bender had just as good a game as James even though he scored less because he was in control more often, constantly making correct reads instead of single mindedly trying to beat the guy in front of him. Bender, however is all fundamentals and little talent, so pick your poison I guess.

I don't know how you can say Bender has little talent after they way he passed the ball tonight. He knows where to be and always makes good decisions. If not for always being parked at the 3 pt line this past year, I think we would have seen more of what we saw tonight.

Perhaps I sounded a bit harsh, but I didn't mean to say he's talentless. What I mean is that it's his BBIQ that carries the rest of his game. Bender is not a great athlete by most measures and isnt a super skilled shooter or creator. His biggest strength is his ability to make reads in offensive sets. He's not the type of guy to beat you with overwhelming athleticism or shooting touch in traffic, but rather by making good smart plays.

Bender looked really good with the ball in his hands. He makes good decisions out there.

McDonough has a little affair with undersized guards & tunnel vision.

That last play had me off my chair during the game. The thought of JJ and Bender moving the ball around the wing and finding each other is truly tantalizing.

I was seriously impressed by Bender tonight. He looks more and more comfortable with the ball in his hands, and he shined picking up more touches on offense with Chriss going down. Those passing skills are starting to show themselves more frequently, he threw a pretty sweet one handed touch pass from the perimeter that would have been an easy assist if Obekpa (I think) was expecting it. He's not very explosive at this point, but he's so fluid on the move for a 7 footer. If he gets that 3 ball going down consistently he's going to be a problem at the 4/5.

Mike James made Jackson irrelevant on offense. Bender is learning.

I especially liked how Bender and Jackson found each other on a few plays, I can seem them developing synergy over the course of the season alternating roles as hybrid forwards to keep the defense guessing.

Assuming both guys will come off the bench (at least to start the season), I think this year's bench unit will be the most exciting since the solar subs: 1. Ulis 2.Reed/DJJ 3.Jackson 4. Bender 5. Sauce. That's a lot of hustle and ballmovement. Also, all of these guys complement each other's weaknesses well.

Looks like I was wrong about Lonzo Ball, might as well get it out of the way early.

He can be every bit as good as Jason Kidd.

Steals are stacking up similar numbers, on ball defense no though.

But if he gets his 3 pointer going he might have an even higher ceiling.

Lonzo's passing ability was never in question. He just makes the right play 99% of the time.
Lakers will probably have to hide him on defense tho and set him up with a lot of shooters.

This is going to be one of the best drafts of this century.

PG defense is kind of overrated. No point guards stop the best point guards...Chris Paul is really the ONLY one who makes a slight difference. Bledsoe still gives up whatever Curry wants. Rubio is good, but PG is the position you least need defense on if you are solid on the wing and have a rim protector. If you have a solid rim protector that is more effective on a PG who finishes in the paint...not a good defensive PG, and for shooting 3s, if a guy like Bender gets on him, that could disrupt shots...or even a guy like Jackson could be right on him, but Curry is used to shooting over guys like that. I mean he's proven he's almost impossible..but of course this Warriors team is the best ever because you have to go 1 on 1 with everyone or you pay. But you usually pay anyway.

Totally disagree about pg defense. It's not about stopping the opposing pg. it's about disrupting the entire offense. It's under rated because good pg defense sometimes forces the opposing pg to score more instead of involving he teammates.

It also means there tends to be a couple of dud drafts either side of the great drafts so Jackson has to be a hit.

Any confirmation about another game?

2nd to last game today. I believe 10 EST against Sacramento. I expect a lot of the guys that haven't played because our rotations have been so short to get most of the burn in this one now that we're eliminated.

Yeah, you can definitely live with poor guard defense. I dont think the Lakers have that guy yet tho.
