Yeah, I read Lowe's article and found it interesting he mentioned Okafor looking spry and they were pumping up his trade value to send him to us or Chicago.

Music to my ears!

Buy low on Okafor!

Sell the vets and tank properly from day 1.

But we need to keep 1 of Dudley/Chandler for leadership.

If I knew that he could keep his body in shape I would take a look at him in a buy low move. He really needs to up his boards and keep working on his elbow shot, all of this beyong learning some serious defense. I like your take on keeping one of Duds or Tyson, too.

I mean...I'm not a huge fan of Okafor but i would like to give him a chance. Look at our frontcourt guys, we have 0 scoring from our bigs. Len is looking like Wilt Chamberlain out there (insert chambarlein's pic with len's face) when you compare him to our other bigs. I would be ok with trading for young players who stucked in their team as long as we are not giving anything valuable.

Okafor reminds me of Armen (Armon) Gilliam. Big, opportunistic in garbage time, poor d.

BUT. The kid can score around the hoop and he can bang with just about anyone. I wish he was a better rebounder and defender. If we can buy low, I am all for it.

Why go after Okafor when he is a one trick pony? Score around the hoop? Sure, but if you want Score around the hoop, rebound, and defend, well then my friend, you have Drummond.

So IF we were to trade Bledsoe, what under utilized or under valued PG would you want us to target?

Just spitballing some names -

T.J. McConnell (Wildcat that can really distribute the ball, but lacks a solid 3 point shot)
Avery Bradley (ehh?)
Jamal Murray (Maybe slide Booker to PG and have Murray as a gunner next to him?)
Dejounte Murray (Both the Suns and I loved him pre-draft)
Elfrid Payton (Another good all around PG that lacks 3 point shooting)
Emmanuel Mudiay (Was hyped pre-draft, but struggles in game, specially with scoring. Seems better so far this season)
Dante Exum (Has all the potential, but has really struggled. Was also limited by a bad ACL tear)
Tyus Jones (Dont know alot about him, but was constantly stuck behind established PG's, but said to be very underrated)

Guys that i think would be harder to get -

Zach LaVine (Coming back from injury, who will the Bulls start, Him or Dunn)
Kris Dunn (See LaVine above)
D'Angelo Russell (Wish we had a shot, but dont see the Nets trading him for quite a while)

So who on this list sticks out to you? Anyone else that i missed that should be named?

Don't see either Murray being available even if they get Bledsoe. Bradley and Lavine aren't PGs. Exum is done for the season and seems very injury prone.

Depending on what we are giving, either of the Murray's would be my first choice from young/under utilized PGs. Payton isn't a bad option but he reminds me of Rondo a bit with his game.

Is that a bad thing? I mean Rondo was a:

NBA champion (2008)
4× NBA All-Star (2010–2013)
All-NBA Third Team (2012)
2× NBA All-Defensive First Team (2010, 2011)
2× NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2009, 2012)
3× NBA assists leader (2012, 2013, 2016)
NBA steals leader (2010)

Rondo was/is a pure PG. Payton is the same way. The issue is (Once again) people dont want a "Scoring PG", yet when thry talk about these "Pure PG's" they knock on the fact that they cant score. Its very rare that you can get a PG that fits both roles, and when you do find one the team that he's on isnt going to trade him because being both a "Pure PG" that can make his own shots (ala a Scoring PG), well thats usually what all-star PG's are, and teams dont like to trade all-stars for next to nothing.

T.J. McConnell I like him. Not sure Bledsoe is a guy they need though with Fultz and Simmons playing PG.
Avery Bradley He might be OK. He's not an exciting trade target and the bigger issue is he's due for a new deal...
Jamal Murray Would love to get him. Not sure he's available...
Dejounte Murray Likewise with this Murray
Elfrid Payton I like his all-around game. Young enough to play with our core and his 3FG% can only improve!
Emmanuel Mudiay Another PG who has lost a lot of lustre after a couple of underwhelming seasons in the league. Not a fan
Dante Exum Did he also just seperate his shoulder? This guy seems to have been injured a lot and when he plays, hasn't really shone. As an Aussie, I'd give him a shot. Utah just go Rubio so I don't think they need a Bledsoe...
Tyus Jones I like Tyus Jones, I feel like we can get him for cheap but I still think Bledsoe is worth more to us than he is in a trade for Tyus. Unfortunately, they appear pretty set with Teague and Butler as their starting guards.

I feel like our bigs learning to actually set screens would be much better for us than adding a different point guard.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I like Okafor.

Look at Brook Lopez, he is a 3pt shooting big man with elite post and rim protection.... he became a 3pt shooter as a 27 year old.

Okafor has better skills than Len, if the coaching staff develop him as a post and outside shooter (open looks), he could be a diamond in the rough. He is a bad one on one defender at the moment, but he is a decent shot blocker.

Again, I see a young Brook Lopez in him....

Drummond is not being traded.... atleast not for small players, Pistons need a big.

I like Okafor for the right price, we have 0 inside scorers - he could open up the court a bit for our 3point shooters, and maybe resurrect his career a bit here. Oh, and I believe Emeka is his distant cousin, that's probably why he is on Phillys roster, other than teaching all the young bigs a trick or two.

Also like Tyus Jones from the wolves, he is (was) totally stuck behind established veterans, and he can play - just check the boxscores when he plays 20+ minutes.

Pistons are one of the few teams in the league that could really use an upgrade at PG. Reggie Jackson has been pretty dreadful and that was before his knee injury. Detroit needs a lot of work everywhere. Judging from me visiting their board, they want to get rid of Jackson (Like us wanting to get rid of Knight), and want to see of Drummond to get better piece back to help fill out their team. Detroit still has Boban at C, a young Ellenson for a PF/C, Tobias Harris has been great at PF, and they also have really utilized Leuer as a sharp shooting back-up PF. They are pretty weak at SF, but besides Jackson at PG, they have Ish Smith and Beno Udrih (Who knew he was even still in the league???).

I was even looking at a way to do a 3 way with Bledsoe/Chandler headed to Cleveland, IT and TT going to Detroit, and Drummond/Bradley ending up here. It would give the Pistons both an upgrade at PG and one at C (Over Boban), but they also would be responsible for having to back a "Brinx Truck" up to IT's house to re-sign him. Cleveland gets Bledsoe to start the season and wont have to worry about trying to re-incorporate IT mid-season, and Chandler could serve as the back-up C where TT is now playing behind Love.

Drummonds on the market and his value is really low right now, to a point where Piston fans would rather hold on to him for a few months to get it back up to where it should be. Suns have shown interest in the past couple of years, so its not like its that far fetched that we could end up making some kind of play (Either straight up or via a 3-way) to acquire him.

Bledsoe for either Murray makes sense. Bledsoe goes to a contender and we get a young prospect.

Chandler to a contender also makes sense for a late 1st that we flip to Philly for Okafor.

Murray/Ulis/James
Booker/Daniels
TJ/JJ/Jr
Chriss/Bender
Okafor/Len

Sauce/Dudley on IR

That's a killer tanking lineup.
