It doesn't matter how good he was in college or how high he was drafted. He's been in the NBA for two years and he's shown nothing to warrant being a #2 pick.
Morris' numbers are quite a bit worse. I mention how good he was in college because people seem to value other college players (who were not as good) very highly right now, that have zero nba experience. Trading a guy who was better at the college level and has two years experience for unknown commodities (especially for just a chance to move up a few spots) probably isn't a wise move.
The majority of players show what they are near the end of their rookie contracts. Only a handful contribute a great deal early, especially if they are playing behind a guy like Kevin Love. But like I said, Derrick Williams DID play well the last couple of months this season.
When he got 30+ minutes, he averaged 20 and 8 (and shot the ball well), so those would be reasonable low end expectations if he became a full time starter. Here are his #s when he had 30+ minutes.
