Those guys are not currently counting against the cap so including them doesn't free up any space to sign LMA. So unless Dallas and Portland are willing to give them enough money to get the salaries to match it's not going to happen.

Interesting! Maybe PJ would have just been one too many in the room and, as stated by some other posters in this forum, LMA already knows what he's getting with PJ.

So clutch that McD pulled the whole Tyson deal. Granted, if LMA doesn't mind Tyson's age, he probably doesn't mind Spurs age.

my guess is they wanted the emphasis to be on basketball. look at all these good players we have on the team VS hey we collected a small group of your close friends whatup

Or they knew the one person that could do out of meeting recruiting was PJ, so what's the point in having him in the meeting. He can call him after or at any time and give his own spiel.

Can we just ban this twitter account from being posted here? All it does is regurgitate things that other writers say

If we strike out on Aldridge, does that make this offseason a fail?

Yes, we have Chandler which gives us a big and a mentor to Len. But it keeps us around 11-15th range for the draft!

Not good! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

If we didn't get a Aldridge type of player I was hoping to somehow win the lotto and get Simmons!!!

yeah, unless we get LMA

we've basically **** an offseason improved Len out of a starting spot he already won just so some 33 year old can win us a couple more games when the result is still somewhat of a mediocre team

McD took a big risk and if it doesn't work out I would hate every minute that Chandler plays on the court and keeps Len from in-game development, that guy needs more than 30 minutes and needs to finish games

****. At least that motherfoooker Mook is off the team and Warren finally gets his minutes. Thought that was never going to happen

This was my first reaction to the chandler signing too. But after thinking on it I want to see what the plan is if the don't land lma before judging the offseason.

I'll be super pissed if they bring in additional old vets who need playing time. Short of some surprise move where we land a ypung impact forward I'd prefer we just fill in the back end of the roster with low price young guys and roll with the rotation below.

Knight and Bledsoe play all the pg mins.

Knight Archie and booker play all the sg mins. (Archie need to play this season because they need to know what they have in him)

Warren and tucker split the sf and play 5-10 mins as a small ball 4.

Keif plays 32 or so mins at the 4 and never as the 5. Len plays 10 mins at pf in a big lineup with chandler and the other backup 4 mins are played by our sfs.

Chandler plays about 28 mins a game to stay fresh and Len plays the other 20 (and some at pf)

That would be a fun rotation to watch and would give our young guys proper development minutes. And hell Bledsoe and knight really mesh and the young guys play well it might be a playoff team that could be attrictive to a star in 2016 who thinks he's the missing piece.

That's my optimistic look at what could happen.

Bottom line... LMA likes what the Suns has to offer presently and long term ... He likes what Spurs offer in the next two years and being closer to his kids... As it stands, the Suns are neck to neck with the Spurs..

If we sign LMA is Markieff gone? Do we go after any other players besides Amare? Thoughts on DJ going to Mavs to play with Matthews :)

So does Parker. A long term core of Kawhi and Danny Green is not enough to stay competitive

Dude I guarantee you it is some poster from here. It's gotta be.

Seriously, like a few minutes to a half hour after we discuss things here, the same news breaks from THAT twitter account.

As a matter of fact I think ginobili flops was trying to say it was him above.

He definitely reads this forum as he asked for permission to use that one picture of LMA in a Suns uniform from that one poster, lol.

Are you not in San Diego? What's this about Gates getting suspended? Not good. Can't remember the Bolts first four games but I hope it works out ok with him out.

How old are his kids? I know some very good elementary teachers in the valley...

I'm more vested in where Aldridge ends up than I ever was when STAT was a FA. This will be heartbreaking, especially if we get beat out by San Antonio.

Yeah, I live in San Diego (I'll still help with the babysitting though). And yeah, I'm disappointed in Gates. Even at 35, he's still such a huge factor in our offense. Hopefully we can at least go 2-2 in our first four games. I imagine Green will act as a serviceable replacement. But still, disappointed. He claims he didn't know that what he was taking was banned or whatever, but who knows if that's a true story. But, to be honest, I'm just stoked to see what Melvin Gordon can do.

It's only a 2 hour flight from PHX to Dallas. And it's a 4 hour drive from San Antonio to Dallas.
The second meeting with the Lakers was probably LMA asking Kobe about the benefits of flying everywhere. :)
