Everyone talking about the Haywood contract, isn't his contract now going thru til next offseason now? I thought the deadline for his contract to expire this offseason passed already.

We really are insanely lucky to have such a talented training staff. Might not have even had a chance at Chandler without them

In the press conference just now, Lon Babby said "And we didn't even have to lock him in the room to get him signed!"

Babby throwing shade.

Just curious, has anyone that was against the Chandler signing initially changed their tune after watching the press conference? Obviously results on the floor are all that matter, but I really like what I've heard so far and believe he will be a valuable piece to this team.

For what it's worth McD just said there are still a couple of moves to be made.

Sounded like minor moves, though. He said they like to carry 13 players at minimum.

yeah he certainly is saying all the right things. I scoff a bit at bringing players in as "leaders" because isn't that what coaches are for but maybe I need to change my thinking on that.

If Suns want a stretch 4, they should be all over this.

Babby was right there during the Booker presser and now is in the photo of Chandler signing. Babby is a huge part of the problem this franchise has had over the last 5 years. He brought in Blanks and Hunter. He drafted Kief and brought his brother in. I don't like him. He is terrible. Oh no, he is front and center in the Chandler presser as well. AHHH!

Sorry but Babby is extremely smart and well spoken. He is remaining on as a senior advisor for the Suns. Remember he was an agent for players and knows both sides of any situation. It's good that Ryan McD is making all the basketball decisions now but Babby can field the stupid reporter questions much, much better.

The Babbler is still the resident slimeball/ mouthpiece diplomat for the Sarver establishment although he is no logner calling the shots in player/personnel matters. He took a reduced role as senior advisor and is involved primarily in contract negotiations /brokering and is essentially just a legalist kept on retainer

I liked Horny's comment that players can't say screw you to Chandler when Tyson calls them out on something they are not doing right.

Last year I'm sure the Morri gave Horny hell and there wasn't much veteran leadership to put those two morons in their place. Tyson should stop all this sixth grade games we saw from the Morri, Tucker, and Bledsoe last year.

I get defending McDuh because the jury is still out on him and he could find redemption as our Messiah?.But come on why would you defend Sarver's pet henchman/"managing partner"? The Babbler has made move after irredeemable move

Yes I wouldn't have offered Eric Gordon the max. Your homerism is nauseating

That was Blanks, not Babby.
