Len has shown alot more than Lopez did when he was here, and Lopez is currently viewed as a starting quality center around the league.

Give Len some time, for crying out loud.

Way better than Lopez. I can't believe we are even talking about our center. I guess people want him to be Hakeem. The best thing to ever happen to us fans and Len was for the game to evolve the way it is.....taking major pressure off of Len's need to develop offensively, outside of shooting elbow J's and garbage buckets.

As of right now DeMar DeRozan is the highest paid player in the NBA. Let that sink in for a minute.

If the Marc Spears rumor is true. 5 years $145 million.

I wonder if we could pry away Philly's pick next year or get back the Laker's Pick with a trade of Knight now that they've lost Ish. With Simmons taking on most of the playmaking, Knight would be really good for them at the 1 imo. It feels like Philly is tired of losing and looking to try and win from here on out.

Mozgov gets 66/4 from the Lakers
Ish gets a nice deal
Lin got 36/3
Beal got 129/5
Whiteside 98/4

And all these writers were saying the Brandon Knight and Tyson Chandler deals were "bad deals" and will be "albatrosses" to trade

I think the Suns - if they so choose - can get very good value for Chandler. And I hope they do. Sign Aldrich to be back up as Len is going to get PAID next year so having Chandler off the books would help

As for Knight, I think he will have a solid market too -- if they choose to trade him

I like the idea of Dudley. Maybe small for a PF - but glue guy, team guy.

I like the Suns are not linked to anybody with crazy numbers

This.

I'm glad Ryan McDonough is higher on Len than some people on this board are.

Clarkson and Lin for $12M per year? That's very reasonable.
Knight for $14M per year? Worst contract in the league since Rashard Lewis.

Knight isn't much better, if at all. Clarkson has only played 2 years and is younger.

Knight's contract isn't that great, and of course it's certainly better than it was, and he has more trade value than he did, but it's not like we'd net much worthwhile in a trade.

Maybe we could, but we actually kind of need Knight right now with Bogdan no longer around. I'm not comfortable with Goodwin being the backup SG. He should purely be getting 4th guard minutes until that jumper improves.

If they miss out on Barnes and Waiters, it's most def possible they'll be interested. Just not sure they'll offer up that pick.

I have no problem keeping Knight. I was just "rosterbating". Although, if Philly did offer up their pick (unprotected) for Knight, I'd take that in a heartbeat and tank this year as well. Come in next year with two top 5 picks and a ton of cap space and ready to roll. I don't think that's likely but just having some fun.

Now that the Hornets have retained Nicolas Batum, league sources say Charlotte is actively working to seal a deal with Marvin Williams ASAP

So I was thinking if the Kings missed out on all the free agent PG's we could do a easy swap of Knight for Gay. But now I'm wondering if that would be such a great idea with Gay having a player option next summer and us giving him one of these terrible contracts. Would not want.

So Hornets are really content with being a 1st round exit kind of team I guess.

I can't see how McMully can trade Knight... he hand picked him in a dark moment... and since then has been defending him, even to go as far as quoting DWade saying he thought Knight should be named to the all star team as a replacement. that one cracks me up... at least the reporter could have said ... 'Really?, any other players DWade likes that you might be interested in.'

I just get this feeling McMully is a smug sore loser and to deal Knight would be admittance of a deal gone bad. Anyway, we got the little chucker and IMO, he will start with Book coming off the bench. The protocol says so. Book started due to injury. And besides... I'd rather see Book run with Ulis, warren and Len in the second unit. Be kind of like that bench we had back with Dragic and Barbososo that at times outplayed the starters or at least steamrolled the oppositions second units.

Blazers going hard after Parsons and Howard

Maybe a guy like Vonleh is there for the taking to clear cap space for the Blazers.

I just think the value of Knight will go up when you see what Augustin and Lin made. Whether that makes sense to trade him though is another thing. A three guard rotation with a committed Knight as your 6th man is probably better than any trade. If he is not committed and brings down the team, maybe you look to move him. I am torn on Knight

Chandler though - if Whiteside gets all that cash, Howard gets all that cash - I think there is a market for him to allow some cap flexibility, sign a Cole Aldrich and next year, re-up Len.

Damn, Pacers just got Al Jefferson for 3 years $30 million. That is a great deal for him in this offseason.

Hmmmmm..........sounds familiar...... I remember now, Markieff Morris. If you expect a good return, you'll get it. if you don't expect a good return, you will get that.

JMac selling his player: "This is the best deal on the market right now, I really don't want to let him go, but I don't mind helping out a friend. Remember, if I make this awesome deal for you, you owe me one."

BW: "I know this isn't isn't a great deal, so I will be willing to accept whatever you offer."

I thought we'd get a first for Kieff on that killer deal.

PFs have much more value than short combo guards. Especially when they make a little more than half as much. We may end up being better served to keep him if he can figure out how to contribute to team ball. Picks are WAY more valuable now than they were a year ago, now that people see how much more value rookie contracts hold, and will especially hold next year. We MIGHT be able to get a late first for him at some point. Sacramento might want him but has nothing worthwhile to offer unless you want McLemore (which I'd consider).
