With yahoo's decline in recent years, would you consider moving to fantrax in 2026 offseason?

Think you need to draft for him since if you do the trade now you can't keep 8 players if you re missing your first rounder or something along these lines

Yeah just do the trade on draft day. Again, the rule exists to prevent you from leaving the draft with 13 players, since draft pick trades must be swaps according to Yahoo rules.

See my post on p72 for more details.

Sucks but right now that's how it works. Working around the rule by just drafting and trading on draft day is ok and achieves the desired result anyway.

Although I suppose since it's the off-season, we dont have to abide by yahoos on-site/in-app rules that require picks to be swapped...

So theoretically, if i only protect/keep 5 players, how many extra picks will i have for the draft?

as per page 1
keeper rule: You may keep any number of players up to 8. If you keep 8 players you will lose your 1st round pick.

If you keep less than seven, you will have additional picks after the 5th round of the draft. For example, if you keep four, you will get all your original 1st-5th round picks, as well as 6th, 7th, and 8th rounders.
If you kept 5 players, you'd get 2 extra picks - 6th, and 7th rounders. 5 keepers + 7 draftees = 12 players rostered.

If another manager(s) also kept less than 7, we'd use the same draft order for those rounds. But basically you're just getting extra picks tacked on at the end of the draft (these extra round picks also untradeable).

Think I’m done dealing - just the one on draft day haha.

At this stage not keeping Tyus - comes down to him or Sochan basically

I'll be setting the keepers in like 7-8 hours from now. Weird timezones. But I'll announce when that's done and the draft will start then.

Oh and the 12th pick is available once the draft starts

almost forgot to announce this: new draft tier system for 2025-2026 season (not this year). We will be doing this from now on so treat your year 2025-26 picks as such.

16. 1st place (champion)
15. 2nd place
14. 3rd place
13. 4th place
tier 4.(picks 10-12) 5th 6th 7th
tier 3 (picks 7-9) 8th 9th 10th
tier 2 (picks 4-6) 11th 12th 13th
tier 1 (picks 1-3) 14th 15th 16th

we'll see how it goes. It's not a big difference, but not having the top teams tiered is an objective improvement, since 1st place being able to move up 3 spots has been kind of crazy considering win-now players are available in these spots.

the 4 tiers of 3 teams, well, we'll see. I think its better since the last place team cannot fall to the 4th pick anymore, and the last place team upon reviewing the leagues history, has traditionally finished with quite a bit of distance.

The other system I thought about heavily was tying our lotto to the NBA draft lottery in real life. For example, the worst team in our league would be tied to the worst team in the NBA, 2nd worst in our league to 2nd worst in the NBA...etc., and so forth, and just have a 14 team lottery. Ultimately I shied away because it meant 1st could fall to 5th 50% of the time, which with our distribution of talent would be back breaking for the lowest ranked teams.

But on the other hand, it would have been really, really **** cool and Im so sad we're not doing that system. Anyway, about to do the keepers since some free time fell in my lap. Interested to hear what you guys think about the new system, or the system that would have tied us to the NBA lottery.

Also we'll be doing the rosters/keepers like we did this offseason again next year. I think having all that info available helped facilitate all these offseason deals instead of having the rosters kind of hidden away on yahoo.

No need to post keepers here correct? Just the ones with 'X' on the sheet and the commish will handle it?

yeah you do it in the spreadsheet and we'll take care of it. if you' want to save your fearless leader commish two or three minutes you can also enter them yourself on yahoo  but it isn't really a big deal

the x's are for letting people know who you plan to keep and let go which helps people see who is available pre-draft for trades, or whom will be hitting free agency.

Wordenuff, your 3rd round #40 is listed on the spreadsheet as to TASTIC, but this would give Tastic 6 picks in the draft. I assume the likely case was a mistaken entry and that you have all your picks, since no trade between you and Tastic is listed on the trade history tab, nor is there any trade in the yahoo league history involving weekapauggroove (previous owner) and wordsenuff last year.

Otherwise one of Tastics 4th or 5ths must go to you.

please advise.
