We must root for Mavs to fail. They have young players like PJ, Lively and picks. Lakers one and their own '31 should be good value.

They shouldn’t trade Lively as he’s a cheap swing big and can start when AD is injured.

PJ
Gafford
Martin
Powell = $41m

Plus all their 1st rd pick (I think it’s only 2-3). I just want future unprotected picks that have upside.

It'd have to be a mix of both and picks. Actually a package of Thompson/ Washington/ Marshall/ Martin/ Lively gets you within 200,000 dollars. Then you add their 25' 1st (14th pick) and the DAL 31' 1st.

But Lively would be a critical inclusionary piece for the trade to balance value for us having to take back multiple contracts with 3 or more years. Lively and the 2 1sts are requisite value for this trade.

No.

Trading for veterans at this point just means Suns are giving up a dollar for ten cent pieces. Reminds me of the Childress, Tukoglu and Warrick days.

KD and Booker needs to go for under 24 year olds and picks. Thats the ONLY viable way.

For Book yeah…

I’d do fillers and picks for KD. He’s going to demand where he goes so we lose leverage plus he’s entering season 18.

Good Trading Partners: Pistons, Rockets, Thunder, Spurs

Others are bad....

PJ is 25-26yo and putting similar numbers to Mikal in same role. Add a few lucrative picks and you can't ask a lot more for 37yo player.

Still think Rockets will bend over for KD... if Suns just ask for their 2027 and 2029 picks and Van Vleet. Suns basically giving up a lot of value away, but the Suns picks are SUPER valuable because Suns are going to tank.

hence Rockets will resists.... MUST convince Rockets that Suns ARE not tanking and are just re-tooling. So the KD trade must happen first if Rockets are target.

Booker can then be traded before trade deadline to Pistons for Ausar Thompson, Ivey, Harris and 2 first rounders for Booker and one of the late first rounders from the Jazz trade.

Then move Grayson Allen for Mitchell Robinson

Followed by Royce O'Neal for Goga Bitadzde

Suns then run

C: Robinson / Bitadzde
F: Harris / Bol
F: Thompson / FA
G: Beal / Dunn
G: Van Vleet / Ivey

and four first rounders, including Suns 2027 and 2029.

Honestly, that lineup would win the same amount of games the current Suns have with Booker and KD, but that team has hope for the future.

Some fans here hated Crowder or at least didnt like him and of course we know the Ayton haters...

But those two were fantastic front court. Monty was wrong....

If Mavericks add 2 unprotected first rounder sometime between 2027 to 2030 and it would be worth it.

But PJ Washington and Gafford are going to rot on the Suns because those 2 should be helping a playoff team and not babysitting next to Beal.

Well, if we had our picks then go for a full rebuild. But that's not the case, can't turn into 2016-18 Suns and give top 5 picks to conference rival. Need to somehow stay competitive.

KD will get us the stars sun and moon while Book gets us the rest of the universe. We are approaching rebuild nirvana and the ultimate hoop healing experience. I can’t wait for Wishbia’s uber-positive reach around recap when this is all done.

They shouldn't? IDC, If there is a trade with the Mavs they MUST give us Lively, PJ Washington every FRP available unprotected, every swap available and all their 2nds.

That's the only way to start negotiating with them. If all those assets aren't on the table you say no and start talking to Miami or Houston or whoever.

Suns past couple of seasons: "What till you see what amazing trades and signings we'll be doing."

Suns this season: "Hello...does anyone want these guys? We're desperate to unload."

Mistake after mistake after mistake..... Thanks for the memories.

I won't go that far with fillers and picks - I think the Suns can get one rotational player (top 8) , plus picks and expirings

Booker -- that is where the team can really load up on young talent

And then we end up trading DA before seeing what he could do with Vogel. The front office failed in such a spectacular fashion that I don't think it could be replicated in NBA2K.
Gambo tip toeing through the tulips here. He hated Chuck and DA. Pucker up to those jazz cheeks gambo

I wonder if Gambo thinks they should keep or trade Booker

The wild overpay absolutely ruined us. Beal trade was fine for what we paid. Giving up both Mikal AND CamJo, plus all those picks was stupid. Plus we traded Jae for all those seconds, like 5 of them and didnt get a single one.

Lol what a disaster.

Yeah, that is a dumb tweet. Why would I click on that? Maybe it didn't "ruin" us that one year or make us worse, but long term it absolutely ruined us.

These guys are likely just thinking about at the time of the trade, not thinking about the players we had would have likely been here for years longer than KD along with the 4 people we were able to draft in the first round and have on rookie contracts.

Booker, Bridges and Cam had great chemistry. We even played really well when Payne was in and Paul was out, as long as everyone else was healthy. A better coach could have done better with Ayton, and if we were still going to trade him we should have been able to get more, or if not more, a better C, even if he was limited in some ways. Not an aging, breaking down guy who can't finish or can't really defend quick players or guard well on the perimeter.

Whoa whoa whoa with the logic there bro

If we can get 1 first and one good young player for KD plus filler, I'd good. Ideally yes, 2 picks and a good young player, but it's a tough sell with 1 year left at his age.

Dallas, for example, Max Christie and a pick plus the filler, which would have to include Gafford who is decent.

TWolves. Naz Reid, or possibly Jaden McDaniels, and a pick or possibly 2.

We are not getting a bunch for KD from Houston and then a bunch from OKC for Book or anything like that.

Hopefully for Book if Ishbia can pull his head out we trade him for Houston for 3 picks (hopefully ours or 2 of ours and the Dallas swap) a, PF (Smith or Eason), maybe a guy like Whitmore, and the filler (Green, Brooks or FVV). Green might make the most sense to take a flyer on but not sure he has the bbiq to ever be a really good player, and paying him a lot...just not sure about.

Of course I'd love Amen. But I doubt we could get 2 (or definitely not 3) of our picks AND Amen. If we got Amen maybe one of our picks (or one of ours and one other one like one of Houston's own picks). Maybe that would be better. Who knows. We likely will be near the bottom of the west for a few years anyway, even if we keep Book, so might as well start building.

Booker has to go before Durant. Booker can bring value to the team more than Durant can plus the contract. Durant, at worst he is an expiring contract next summer. So to your point, the Christie, pick plus filler trade might be the best you can get. But Booker can get back more tangible long term assets

As for the Durant trade -- it was the impetus for the downturn of the Suns. Granted, maybe it was not doing right with Ayton earlier

But I know Bridges, Book and Cam were a solid group to build around.

I still have no idea why Booker needs to be asked if he wants to be traded?

Your last paragraph is why I'd like to send Booker to Detroit. We can get Ausar, and while he hasn't done as much as Amen, they're twins athletically. I actually think Ausar was higher thought of when they came out.

Ausar just had the bloodclots health issues. and the Moronty handicap as his rookie year coach. Those things slowed his development but there's no reason to think he cant do what his brother does. Detroit needs Booker's skllset badly too.
